Disappointment service
Dear Sir/Mam, 17/4/2011
With reference to the the mail dt.12/4/2011 as my Nokia-5800 which I had given to your customer care tilak nagar, delhi IMEI:358279/03/007225/8 which stop working while i was on the call. For which i had submitted my cell at ur care dt:-26/2/2011 and after follow up they had given me on 11/4/2011 and asked me to get it repaired from outside. The main thing is that if Nokia care is unable to resolve the problem how is the outside local repaired can get it repaired.
I am waiting for ur positive reply.

physicaly damedge in nokia service centre by engineer
i was went to nokia care(09-01-11) for servicing my nokia 5800 at vashali sec 4 ghaziabad UP. they told me that your device is physically damage and told that your product is not in warranty because some metal part is broken in the motherboard and she charge 1850 for that thing . but i check the broken part and see the metal is bend push up by pressure, than they told me that ok sir you please submitted the handset and we forward your handset to higher level and services in warranty than i say ok but i have complaint that broken(damage) the device is their mistake and charge for me, why ?

display problem
i own a nokia 5800 xpress music cell phone which was purchased by me on 17th December 2009 from boisar, maharashtra. It is was purchased on the name of Mr.Anil seth. The cell is not functioning properly since 2 months and its display has some problems. When i contacted the service center in pune regarding this on 29th November 2010, they told me that its display needs to be changed. They also told that since its not a physical damage, it will be done free of cost. They informed that they don't have the display with them. I also contacted other service centers of Nokia in Pune but they too replied the same. Now, my Nokia warranty is getting expired on 17th December 2010. I don't want to extent my warranty period. I wanted to get it repaired within the warranty period. I had contacted the service center before the expiry of the warranty.So, please kindly help me either with where in pune will i get the display available now or suggest me a way by which it can be done free of cost in case the warranty expires. Kindly revert to me as soon as possible.

FM hangs frequently
I purchased Nokia 5800 on 2.8.2010. My complaint about its operation of FM radio. Radio always hangs whenver I operate it every time.

Nokia Software Malfunction
I am Kunal Agarwal, I had a Nokia 5800 Xpress Music phone with IMEI number 354182028760401, and unfortunately it was stolen at Kormanagala, Bangalore on 16-06-2010. An FIR(#0314) for the same is lodged with the Kormangala Police Station. The Cops are trying hard to track it through their system of tracking phones through IMEI number but the phone is not used yet, the reason is that I trusted Nokia and its Great technology.
I have enabled an option in my phone that locks the phone whenever the SIM card is changed, to be specific that option is " Lock if SIM card changed " and according to Nokia 5800 manuals it “Set the device to ask for the lock code when an unknown SIM card is inserted into your device. The device maintains a list of SIM cards that are recognized as the owner’s cards.” To this I understood that the Phone will ask for a lock code whenever the SIM card is changed but it MALFUNCTIONS and asks for a password whenever the phone is turned on and this is not LIMITED to my phone, I have tested this option with two other Nokia 5800 which has the same issue, this problem is Universal.
In my case the phone was switched off after it was stolen (the most obvious thing), I contacted Police Station an FIR was lodged and investigation for the same was started, however it did not get tracked because the phone was not turned on (locked), I did not get my SIM lock from the Service Provider until two weeks after the phone was stolen, hoping that phone would turn on, but due to the software it was locked, Now even after two months the phone is not getting tracked ( I cross checked this with police station). While checking with the available options of my brothers 5800 I realized that " Lock if SIM card changed " locks the phone making it unusable even with the same SIM card.
I reported this problem to Nokia, the Nokia representatives made idiotic excuses instead of trying to understand the Software problem, they told me that Police will not make investigations until it involves Big Shots in spite of me informing them Police is very co-operative with me and investigating the case, they questioned the authority of Police department but did not try to understand the problem, also one representative told me the Nokia Software is Robust, another representative told me that the phone can be VERY easily tampered (reset) by a unauthorized dealer, however they were unaware of what changes that would make but they made one thing clear Nokia trust the unauthorized dealers more than themselves.
Nokia representative even told me that the Kormanagala Police Station is very near to their office and they will check with the Police about the investigations, but later they denied contacting Police and said me that they does not have the authority to do, but they continued with questioning the authority of Police in this case by asking me to put PRESSURE on the Police for investigation. Finally a Nokia representative told me that they will send my feedback to their R&D department, however they cannot help me in this case.
Well if they cannot help me then why they questioned the Authority of Police investigation and after promising to make investigation why they denied it, why they always make contrasting statements. I am attaching a photo of reply I received from one of the Nokia representative in which he states some SIM LOCK OPTION and stating it cannot help in case the phone is stolen, well I never mentioned such an option because its not a option but it proves their level of Care for issues with the phone.
Despite being the number one mobile company according to sales Nokia does not have any in built phone tracking software, however it has some other built in software which locks the phone but in any case it does not help in tracking the phone in case it is stolen which should be the biggest purpose of a security software, moreover a Customer without being aware locks his phone unintentionally and at the COST OF CUSTOMER NOKIA WILL DO R&D.

Battery Problem
Hi
As i buy Nokia 5800 mobile in october 09. After some time from Jan 10 its not working properly not charging and i am not able to use it from last 3 months, i had visited Nokia care more than 10 times on different location in delhi and Gurgeon. I had submit my mobile for repair more than 6 times every times they reply me that it will took 1 week than after 1 week sorry now we had to send your mobile to Head Office than again and again same thing takes place. How many times they have to send my mobile in head-Office. and why they are not replacing it what is the problem in that if they are not able to repair it than why they are not replacing it. I had buy that mobile in cash not got freefrom nokia. If your Nokia Mobile is not working well/ properly than you have to replace it.
Please do some thing in this regard. As i am fully fed-up with this irritated thing from last3 months.

here i am complainting against my new nokia 5800 mobile whose camera is 3.2 mega pixel but its clarirty is poor than vga camera the care center said that we cant do anything about this problem it is an manufacturer defect.

I brought a Nokia 5800 Xpress Music from Nokia priority dealer, Balasore, orissa with IMEI No.- 356910036572162 on 23.09.2009 with a cost of Rs.13500/- but the phone was not swithed on after 25 day’s of purchase. It is now under warrenty, I have given this phone to Nokia Care, Balasore, Orissa with a Job sheet no.631504886/091024/11 on 24.10.2009.They have taken 24 days to repair, and delivered me a old Nokia 5800 with different IMEI no.-354182023673484 on 18.11.2009, which was not my original 5800.In this phone lot of damages are there with old software version, no free GPS subscription as initially.when I again gave a complain to Nokia care they only updated the software, not given the newer phone.After one day, I found that the phone is restating automatically and after 2-3 times of restarting it is switched off, the displays goes down and switched off any time. Now after pressing the swith on button it is not switching on some times similar to first problem. Again I have given this phone to Nokia care with jobsheet no. 631504886/091125/70 on 25.11.2009.Since it is under warrenty, if Nokia is unable to repair my original phone, they should given me a complete new set with all features as on my initial new phone but they don’t have a rights to give the older phone which has a lot of problems.I want a complete new handset immediately, otherwise go for a consumer case.

Screen Problem
I have bought Nokia 5800 in 13/11/2009. Today i realized my screen has a problem. I connected to GENPA service (the service takes care of phone problems in Turkey) and Nokia Support Unit. Neither of them has given a dare to my problem. They say they will take my phone to the technical service and it will be repaired in 30 days. I don't want to wait 30 days for my brand new phone's repairy. I want to have my phone changed with the new one works properly.
