I am working as Chief Engineer in South Central Railway at Hyderabad. In June 2006, I had bought Nokia moble, Model 3220, IMEI No. 359396002558657 from Nagpur for my daughter Mansi Goel. A few months back the set developed problem of no signal or missing signals.
For repair the set was given to Nokia care center, SOLECTRON CENTUM ELECTRONICS LIMITED, 7-2-609 & 610, Rashtrapati Road, Secunderabad (A.P.). The set was given for repair on 21st May, 2007 vide Job ID IN1200-070515429-001. After many visits and telephonic chasings the set was returned after about a week. But, it had developed another problem of No Ringer. So, the set was again given to repair on next day (about 28th May, 2007). I was asked to collect repaired phone after 2 days. But, again after many visits and telephonic chasings the set was returned to me on 13th June, 2007. After returning to home, I found that both the problems i.e. No Signal and No Ringer are as it is. I again gave it for repair, the next day on 14th June. I was asked to collect back the phone on 16th June, 2007.
Since, morning I am trying to get the status but, everytime I am asked that I will be told the status on my telephone number in next 15 to 20 minutes. But, nobody bothers to respond back. In this whole issue, I have faced following inconveniences:
(1) Non repair of mobile set,
(2) About 12 personal visits to the care center from my residence about 6 km away in a busy city like Hyderabad
(3) About 25 to 30 telephone calls to the care center. Each time, the shameless persons attending phone asks to give a ring after 15 minutes to check up the status or tells that she will check and tell the status in next 15 to 20 minutes. But, unfortunately never do they respond.
(4) Inexplicable mental agony. I have never felt so much harassment and inconvenience in my whole life.
I wonder, how a so called reputed company like Nokia is creating and tolerating such nonsense and irresponsible care center. It is better not to have any repair center, rather than having such a center, which is not only destroying the reputation of company but, also causing so much inconvenience ND MENTAL AGONY to the customers with their callous attitude.
Is there anybody to care and redress the problem???
