I have purchased a Nokia Mobile handset model number X6 IMEI# 353422046043294 from M/S Samarth lifestyle retailing PVT LTD, 13 Jayanti Market, M.I. Road Jaipur ( A Nokia priority dealer) vide bill no. 1905 for rupees 15570 on 09/August/2010.
After use of the same for few hours I realized that one of its speakers was not working properly, immediately on the second day I approached to the same Nokia Priority dealer from where I Had purchased it. He refused to do anything and suggested me that I should contact to Nokia service center.
On 16/August/2010 I went to Nokia service center and submitted my handset (job sheet # 214433527/100816/11) for the replacement but they told me that the same needs to be repaired as it is not in the policy of Nokia to get the handset replaced, any ways I submitted the handset for the repair and they given me the delivery time for the same day till the evening, when I called up in the evening they told me that it is still in repairing process and will be delivered to you by the second day evening, again on the second day when I called them up they told me that the engineer who supposed to repair the handset is on leave so have to wait for another couple of more days, on the same day I wrote a mail to the Nokia customer care center mail id given on the Box i.e.
[email protected], the call attendant lady in service center was also very rude to me and replied me on phone by saying that there are 15-20 handsets lying here from 18-20 days and I don’t know what kind of fire is bursting out in you, next day on 18/August/2010 I went there and asked for my phone then they replied me that the part which is defective in the phone is not available with them and they have to get it Import which will take about 3-4 days and asked me to take the handset back till they receive the part and asked me to call service center on 21/August/2010, *any of the excuse was not related to each other in all these three days conversation with them. On 21/August/2010 I called service center and they asked me to bring me the handset for the repair process and asked me to leave the handset till the evening, when I called at evening they told me that there was no electricity through the day and I have to leave the handset for more time and after 2 days on 23/August/2010 they handed over my handset and at that time the sound was ok but not very clear due to heavy noise in the service center, as I reached home I saved some songs in it and when played I found that the problem was still the same but was not like the way it was coming before. I approached service center again on 25/August/2010 as 24/August/2010 was a holiday on the occasion of Raksha bandhan, they asked me to leave the handset so they can send the handset to their head office for the further advanced repair (job sheet # 2225 which was the manual job sheet as their printer had stopped working at that time) and asked me to wait for 7 days, on 2/September/2010 when I called they told me that the handset is still with the head office and will be handed over to you on 5/September/2010 which was Sunday and on Monday when I called them they told me that you have to wait for couple of more days and there is no need to call us again and again we will call you as we receive your handset, I haven’t received any call from service center and luckily on 13/September/2010 I called service center and they asked me to take the handset, I was very happy that my handset get repaired and working fine but was little upset that its power key get dislocated from its position and its keypad lock key get loose during the repairing process but I accepted the phone as I was waiting for it from past 21 days and get the warranty extended for the same cell phone for one more year in rupees 565, bill number 5768 on the same day for further security as suggested by them in the same service center.
The biggest blunder happened when after using it for 3 days I found that the same speaker had stopped working I again went to the same service center on 17/September/2010 and they again asked me to leave my handset for the repairing process and asked me to wait for couple of more days as they have to send the handset again to the head office where it get repaired before and gave me a job sheet (#214433527/10917/9) and till now I am waiting for my handset.
I have e mailed to customer care of Nokia about 2 times with the same problem and they haven’t reverted back ever and I have called up the centralized care line number 0141-30303838 for about 15-16 times for the same problem and I am not getting any positive response from the Nokia company, last time when I had seen my handset I observed that the condition had gone worst with loose body, loose keys and dislocated buttons.
The only thing which I need is the Kind justice of replacement of the defective cell phone with the new box pack or refund of my money incurred in purchasing the phone, extended warranty, cost incurred in communicating them and wastage of my time which is more valuable.
