Nokia name used to be synonymous with quality/service but my belief in them is shaken now
This Nokia phone was bought from Authorised Nokia dealer in Goa. After 4-5 months the 6 key stopped functioning. It was sent to Service Centre in Andheri East(Tele: 26837955/5461) on 17 Nov, 2008. So far they have not returned it inspite of repeated follow up. I was told that it has been sent to their HO (Tel: 66607525) in Parel. Still no response and I am unable to get thru to anybody at this number. Nokia name used to be synonymous with quality/service but my belief in them is shaken now.

Such lousy and laid back attitude I've never encountered before
I wanna lodge a complaint against nokia care center, Sakchi branch, Jamshedpur. Two months ago I handed over my handset (Nokia 5300) for repair(It's headset's jack was not functioning) only on the condition that they would return my cell phone the very next day. The other day they said its not yet repaired I gotta wait for one more day. And finally when I asked for my cell phone after almost three days they said that my cell phone met with a mishap. Due to some discrepancy and lack of communication(Functional characteristics of nokia care center and heights of irresponsibility) among the staff my cell phone has been sent to the head office (kolkata). All this without my notice. Fine, I accepted there excuse because they assured they would return my set in a week. However, I received my cell phone after more than a month. That too was not easy. The executive managing the customers quoted Rs 350/- initially but without bringing into my notice, on the final day charged me Rs 800/- I refused to pay and finally settled at Rs 450/-. All this happened despite a norm mentioned just behind the receipt that in case the price that will be charged against the repair exceeds the quoted price the phone will not be repaired without the customers consent. They didn't abide by this simple law of their own organization and just imagine the price difference. Nevertheless, I braught it back, my head set was working but unexpectedly my cell was not getting charged. Because the battery remained out of service for quite some time I thought there is some issue with the battery. I got a new one but all my efforts were in vain. My cell phone was heating up abnormally, its blue tooth stopped working and its charge was the major problem. I dint explore it further I don't have an Idea what other problems was my cell suffering with. I went back with my cell phone and demanded a cell in stand-by until I receive my repaired set. This too was another scene. Lets not get into further details cause it irritates me all the more. Anyways it's been two months and I am still without my cell phone which was supposed to be in my hand two months ago. Even now they don't seem to be interested in returning it. I don't know it is frustrating and irritating . They think its a joke. I'm a working lady used to access internet via my cellphone and am not satisfied with the phone given to me though it has features for internetting but I want my cell phone back.. I spent near about some 10, 000 bucks on my cell phone and this is what I get as so called customer service. Such lousy and laid back attitude I've never encountered before. kindly if you can do something about it do it as soon as possible.

I would never in my life by a Nokia product
I had bought Nokia N-72 on 04th April, 2008 from Mobile Store as an anniversary gift for my spouse.Three months later the handset switches off on its own and does not switches on.I took the handset to Nokia authorised service center Sheetla communication at DLF Phase - IV, Gurgaon. They said the battery is OK probably due to very low charge its switched off, we would switch it on with the help of our machine. The set was returned to me and I was asked not to switch it ON before charging it for atleast 30 min. After charging the set for 30 min, it still did not switch ON. I went to same Nokia center thrice with the same problem within 20 days and finally during my fourth visit on 19th sept, 2008 they confirmed that the handset has to be sent to HO for repair as the handset was getting overheated after charging and probably they need to change the panel.I took the delivery on 21st Oct, 2008 and was told that the problem has been fixed.

At home, I realised that although the handset is getting switched ON but there are no signals in the handset.

Post diwali holidays, I went to same Nokia center today (31st Oct, 2008) and I am told that the handset has been tempered with.

I am unable to believe that a company like NOKIA rather than helping out the customer and accepting their fault of too much outsourcing of services ( repair of the handset was carried out at Bright point, Okhla- as told to me by the center)is putting the blame back on to the customer.

I would never in my life by a Nokia product and would like to complain through this forum for reimbursement of appropiate damages to me.

I was truly shocked at the unbecoming behavior of Mr. Lim
I would like to file a formal complaint against Ambassador Appliances Vmall Greenhills for refusal to refund money for a defective unit of cellphone nokia e66. The unit was bought yesterday for a birthday gift, and we had the agreement that I could exchange it for a nokia e71 should the receiver prefer that model instead.

When the recipient received the gift last night, we noticed it was slow to start up and kept "hanging" (not responding). When it succeeded to start up, we checked the features and functions. We then also found out the camera of the e66 was defective as black lines kept appearing on the screen. I immediately informed ambassador through text of the defects and that I will return it the next day.

Upon going to ambassador today they inspected the unit and confirmed it was slow to start up, however they were able to make the black lines disappear. When they gave it back to me, I inspected it, and saw the black lines returned. At that point, it was clear the problem was recurring and the solution was temporary, the nokia e66 was really defective. I told them I will just exchange it for the e71 and add money for it.

However they suddenly changed the price of the e71 to a higher price from the one they gave me previously and insisted that was the price they gave. Only when I got angry, did they concede and admit they did indeed give me a lower price yesterday. Seeing as we weren't going anywhere with the conversation as she kept changing what she was saying, I just requested for a refund to end the tiresome conversation.

They refused to give me a refund and told me their boss will just call me. I told her to please just refund the money as it was pointless to discuss anything anymore as they kept changing their policies and conditions to suit themselves.

Their apparent lack of integrity made it a waste of my time. I just wanted to have my money refunded at that point. I truly made a mistake to believe they have good business practice and after sales service. To think I was willing to pay more for the nokia e66 from Ambassador as I thought being a more established store, after sales service would be better. What a terrible mistake that was! Their after sales service is worse than at the tiangge stalls. Even the people there surely aren't as uneducated, offensive and shocking as Mr. Lim when addressing issues such as these.

Mr. Lim reached me on my mobile and shouted at me and arrogantly told me he will not refund the money nor give me the satisfaction of buying the unit from someone at a cheaper price and I should just sue him because he doesn't care. He kept saying "so what?" which made me wonder what his purpose in calling me is.

He launched a tirade and accused me of dropping the phone and causing its defects. At this point I realized how unethical he was and he called to intimidate me. It was clear he was willing to say anything just so he will not refund my money. The unit has no scratches and dents that should have appear if indeed it was dropped. Furthermore it was already inspected by their staff earlier today when I brought it in for exchange and they can attest it was in the same condition I got it yesterday.

You can say I was truly shocked at the unbecoming behavior of Mr. Lim. I expected more from him and not the callous, brute behavior he exhibited as I gave him utmost respect, as I give all elders, as imbibed to me by my parents.

I truly feel disgust for his bad character and going about this in such bad taste. I pity him that he will resort to lying and stoop and lower himself just to cheat someone from a few more pesos. A company's name is so important, especially for a retail store like his where your name should be worth its weight in gold. Going back on your word to earn a few more bucks and deceiving people is totally not worth it for the price of a stinking name and a rotting soul.

I have got angry.I told them about that why...and after not doing anything I gave them 55 Rs.I came out side and went to a oitside mobile repairing center.Do you believe they repaired my mobile within 15 minute and service charge was only 50 rs.Then what do you think about the Nokia care Service. Defective Handset
Dear Sir,

I am using mobile phones for last 12 years and I am a brand loyal of Nokia. I have used 8-9 handset of Nokia and I feel that Nokia handsets are more reliable than any other brands. They are more user friendly and the battery backup is also very good. But, recently I have bought one Nokia E71 which has changed my perception on the brand. The hand set is showing three major problems from day 1.
1. Battery backup – the battery backup is only 4-5 hours which is very surprising.
2. Automatic switch on-off- If I switch off the mobile, the mobile automatically gets switch on after 15 sec
3. Over heating- Sometimes the handset becomes hot without any reason.

After two days, I approach the Nokia shop(from where I have purchased the handset) for exchange but they have refused and asked me to go to the Nokia care. In Nokia care, they told me that there is some problem in the software. After up gradation of the software the problems will be rectified. They have up graded the software, but it was showing the same problem. When they could not rectify the problems, they sent the handset to Gurgaon for repair. On 2nd August, I have received the handset, but the problem no 1 and 3 is still not rectified. Kindly suggest.
