This morning at 01:10am I received an sms: "Congratulation's you have won R100.ooo (the last 3 digits in the letter O") from Nokia Yearly Promo. Your ticket no N P 301 Please contact Mr Ben on 073 501 4842 for activetion (check the spelling) & for your claim". I called this morning at 08:00 from a landline to talk to Mr. Ben, the first thing he asked me was, "Why are you calling from a private number?" I indicated that I was calling from work. I told him about the sms and he then said: "I have to go to any MTN outlet to purchase airtime worth R180.00, then sms him with the pin number, my name, cellphone number and banking details, to activate my winnings" Duh, did he really think I am that stupid?.

i have been using the services of Vodafone (initially hutch) for more than 6 years now, and that too with the same phone number. i have never been this dissatisfied with your services. the signals seem sto be fine on the phone screen but there is problem in listening on both sides. the voice keeps breaking. the call gets disconnected so often. this thing turns out to be so costly, especially while making STD calls.
i wish to know the reason for the same and the problem being taken care of as soon as possible.
