I gave my set 3600s to M/s.S.R. Trading co., Teynampet, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India on 25th September as the mobile keys were not working.
After that I contact them in the given number every 2 days with some elusive reply. After 5th day they said they will call me. As no call came I myself again called them on 5th October and asked for the position. A gentlemen replied saying the unit cannot be repaired and can be taken back after verifying the details from his side. However I was asked to give a call again after 40 minutes. I did it. I got a reply from a lady attendent saying that they are waiting for my concurrance for reparing the same as it involves some money. I said OK but whether the same is in warranty period for which I got a reply saying it is not in the warranty period.
Today I went tothe shop on receipt of a call that my mobile is ready and I can collect it after payiong 1847/= I visited them in the evening and got the set back after paying the amount as mentioned above vide their bill number SERVI CE INVOICE 5165/08.10.09. On checking still one key is not working. I told them they said it is working i GOT to press hard. To my question what for i am charged so much what part got changed, I wsa told that they had changed SLIDING STRIP. They charged an amount Rs.1775/96 which they told me cost of replacement of sliding strip and Rs. 71/04 as vat at 4%. My complaint was keys not working and no problem in sliding. When I was contacted them on 5th i was told keys has to be replaced and not the sliding strip. In this I want clarification to my mail address

a. what is the necesscity to change the slide strip when the complaint was not for that and it was functioning when it was taken
b. what service rendered to make my keys started working except one key which need pressure to press it
c. when the vat is 4% and the related amount is 71.04 then 100% is 1776 then what service they rendered and why they have not charged for that when the set is not in the warranty period.
d. the display board at the centre says about charges after warranty period but the situation do not reflect the true picture.
e. for in ordinate delay without proper reasons assigned and not properly informing the customer resulting loss of so many things to the customer. How the same will be compensated.
Based on your reply I want to take up the issue with the connected authorities for redressal. Hope I will get replywithin 15 days. Otherwise, I presume you have no answer for my querries and I will proceed accordingly the guidelines prescribed in the situation by the authorities.
