On 31.8.2007 I purchased a Nokia E90 for Rs.35,000.00 from the local authorized retailer M/S Mahadeo Ramgopal. Upon using it, I immediately noticed that when calling and receiving phone calls there was a background static/noise which refused to go away. I took it to the Nokia Care Centre and after checking the set, they advised me to send it for a replacement.
Within 24 hours (as stipulated) the set was returned to the Distributor for replacement. The distributor sent the set back, and it was duly accepted/passed for replacement.
Now, as of today it has been two months (58 days as on 26.10.2008) and I have neither received my replacement set, nor is the Distributor agreeing to refund me the money. They have said that Nokia has stopped importing this set into India the last two months, but are still not agreeing to pay me my refund.
What should I do?
Regards
Sid.
