changed numbers and not returned credit
Nomi mobile had promised to retain original numbers.Now they are saying that there are technical problems. In addition to that I have been promised 5 times after lengthy phone calls that my credit would be transferred to my new number, ./This has still not happened. I suspect serious fraud here .Please lets hear from others.I am surprised that oftel has not yet intervened. This company should be immediately put on hold.

Withdrew service to old SIM for some sort of upgrade - lost number
I had been using a Nomi SIM since late 2009 and used it for over a year. All my personal and professional contacts had this number.
Towards the end of October, I started getting texts stating that service would be discontinued on my existing SIM and I had to request for an 'upgrade'. The texts also stated that I was supposed to call their customer care on 325 or send an email if I wanted to retain the number and the remaining credit. I did both well before their intended date. The call to their customer care lasted more than 20 minutes - most of which they kept me on hold but in the end confirmed that I would get to retain the number and my calling credit.
To my surprise, I never received a new SIM with my original number and when I called their helpline number I was told that I simply wouldn't get my old number back. They also deactivated my online account on their website and I no longer have access to my credit and usage history.
Their behaviour in this matter has been like some cheap fly-by-night operators and I think this company should be prosecuted. I have lost important business because of their behavior.
It just can't be legal for this company to take my number away.
Further, i'm now worried that they have my payment card details stored with them. I used this card to top up my calling credit. One can no longer trust an operator like this and all i'm looking for now is to get my number back and port it to another operator.

Nomi eating into my balance for calls not made
I had been using a Nomi-mobile SIM for a year or so with no problems. Nomi was recommended to me by a kiosk selling calling cards who said their rates were very good, which is true. Txt msgs 11p to Europe, calls 1p p/m to Europe, 5p to UK landlines and 10p to mobiles, etc. You also have the option of using a landline to make cheaper calls. I found them very helpful, very competitively priced and I loved the online account.

Up until May 2009, the only problem I had was when I called a French landline from a UK landline and was charged 40p instead of 10p, however, the agent I spoke to was very apologetic and the money was refunded immediately.

The real problems began from June 2009. I started to notice that even when the phone was not in use, when I am abroad, money was deducted from my balance, but I wasn’t sure so started to monitor my account. Between 16 July and 30 November, nearly £2 was taken. I called Nomi call centre (which appears to be in India) in September but the girl I spoke to was not very helpful and did not seem to understand my complaint. She said she would make some enquiries and call me back but I never heard anything and had to travel back to Spain.

On 4 December 2009, I called Nomi again and spoken to three different operators, all Indian, with very curious English names. All were faultlessly polite and apologetic and I was refunded £1.22 immediately after the first call. I was assured that they would look into the matter as there appeared to be a technical problem (shame it’s never the other way around). I had to call again as another .71p was not refunded. I was told they would check this although the operator did admit that there were no calls made between the dates I was claiming. I am still waiting to hear on this.

Another problem is with the online account. Before May 2009, it gave a very clear record of all calls made via a landline, those made by mobile and txt messages. However since then, calls may or may not appear on the statement, or only for a very short period, and only text messages appeared up until 24 October 2009. As at today, 4 December, there is no record at all, except for one text message made on 9 September. Anything before or since then does not show. I have mentioned this as well to the operators but they do not seem to know where the problem is as their records show all details.
