So it's Friday, and I'm really enjoying sleeping in, when I get a call from Nora at 9:40 am. Nora is very upset about my negative yelp review, and she is calling me to insist that I remove it!!!

I tell Nora that this is inappropriate and I refuse to do so. Nora offers me a refund for my last session if I will remove my review. I tell Nora that my review reflects my experiences, and I absolutely will do no such thing! I also tell her that because she called me... I am going to update my original review to reflect our conversation.

Nora tells me about how my review is impacting her business, and it's because of me that people do not want to go see her. I didn't know that my review wielded so much power over her potential customers. But where has she been the past 3 months since my review was written???

I told Nora everything I wrote in my original review: It is inappropriate that she watches TV while working on her clients!!! She is sticking needles into places while starting at the boob tube!!n It is not cool that she does not work for the full 30 minutes (which happened on numerous occasions) and that she does not offer any kind of numbing cream, but provides you with her wholesaler who you can purchase it from. (It's fine if she wants me to pay for the cream, but seriously, its not that difficult to provide it for your clients, so they don't have to contact your wholesaler themselves)

Nora told me that she's been in this business for nearly three decades, and after reading my review, to fix the problem, SHE BOUGHT A TIMER!!!

Jeez lady, it took you that long to realize that? Well, then maybe some good actually came out of my original review, and her future clients will actually be GETTING THE TIME THEY PAY HER FOR!

Like I said before, she is a nice lady, this was nothing personal, but I received bellow satisfactory service from her!

I WOULD NOT COME BACK TO NORA EVEN TO GET MY REFUND!!!

Go somewhere else ladies, there are much much better electrologists out there! I found one, who is AMAZING (with better service and better prices)

So here's the thing... I came to Nora on a friend's recommendation to do some electrolysis. I saw her several times and had a relatively good experience the first few times. But there were several problems.

First of all, let my just say that Nora is the nicest lady ever. She is a real sweetheart, but there are better electrologists. Here's why:

-Nora schedules 30 minute appointments but only works for like 22-26 minutes. Kind of not fair to the customer, especially since she is expensive at $55 for the half hour. At first I wasn't 100% sure, so after about the 3rd session, I took out my cell phone and timed how long she worked, I didn't even get 26 minutes.
-Almost every appointment Nora would get up in the middle of working on me and change the TV channel or radio station. She would also pause and watch who wants to be a millionaire when they were answering the questions. Meanwhile, achem, I'm just laying there.
-She works really slowly. She does not cover that much surface area in the time you spend with her.
-She does not offer any topical numbing cream or anything.

She seems a little pushy about you coming back every week I felt a little like she was selling me. Seriously, she is a super nice lady and I have nothing against her, BUT I yelped other electrologists and found somebody who is unbelievable and a totally different experience.

Nora isn't bad and will get the job done, but at a slower, more expensive rate. Go somewhere else.
