I purchased a 2000 Volkswagen New Beetle from this business as is. After driving the vehicle for one day the check engine light came on. The vehicle was over heating. The Volkswagen dealer service department determined that the vehicle's cooling system is compromised. The vehicle has a radiator leak, water pump leak, coolant flange leak, dysfunctional thermostat, leaking heater hoses and hose connections and improper anti-freeze was installed. System needs extended coolant flush and proper anti-freeze installed. At the time of purchase this business implied the vehicle was "Blue Star Certified". After requesting resolution to these issues, the business owner verbally confirmed that the cooling system was not checked out prior to sale. Business owner states that I have to take the vehicle to his service department in order to resolve issues. I have no confidence in the service department of this business and question whether they are qualified to service this type of vehicle because they failed to determine that the cooling system was compromised prior to sale. They took advantage of me once. Now I'm expected to allow them to take advantage of me again? I don't think so.
