I was charged on my internet bill the amount of $15.69 from a company called Norristown Telephone USBI. I have never requested a telephone service with this company I don't even have a Telephone land line in my house.

I have been seeing charges from USBI, Total Enhanced Services and ILD on my ATT telephone bills for months and months. I'm not sure exactly how long they have been charging me because I only have copies of my bills back to October 08, but since then it has been a total of about $70.00/month.

I called the phone company in inquire about these charges because I noticed they went up and ILD had actually gone from $19.95/month to $39.90/month and I wondered "why?"

The phone company told me that these three companies are slamming me and have been for a long time. I just don't understand how this can happen but they did tell me if I do a little homework I can get the money back. All you have to do is call the numbers on the phone bill and get confirmation numbers from each company for each monthly charge and the phone company will refund you. I asked how they can let that happen and was told the can't do anything about it because of FCC regulations. Are you kidding me? Is this how our government protects us?
