Verbal assault from customer service
I paid North Pacific Van Lines to move my belongings from Louisiana to Washington state. The driver arrived 5 hours late to pick up on Aug 12th- This should have given me an indication of what was to come. I was told that they offered door to door & set up service at my home in Wash. The truck was due to deliver on Aug 23rd. Called on August 23 to inquire on time of delivery and provide new contact phone number, dispatcher could not locate my belongings. Called again the next day, I was informed that my belongings were still in Louisiana and would not deliver until Sept 13. Well this day came and went..no delivery. Called again to ask when the truck would deliver and I was told that the truck had already arrived in Washington and was returning South. My belongings? they were delivred to a self storage unit
in Tacoma where I would have to pick up myself. North Pacific Van Lines would mail the storage key to me as soon as I pay the transportation balance. I would also have to pay the storage facility when I pick up my belongings...OK, this guarenteed door to door delivery is a sham... Not only do I now have the additional expense of renting a truck to pick up my belongings from a self storage facility, I have to pay for the cost of renting that unit and most importantly what happens if some of my things are missing? I asked for the tranportation balance so I could pay right away, its been over a month, I need my things and I'd like to keep my newly aquired storage fee to a minmum. I guess I asked too much of the *** on the other end of the line... "JASON" flew into a childish rage, talking over me in loud jibberish so as not to hear my request, which I tried to repeat 3 times before he screamed at me "never call again" and then he hung up on me.
I called back immediately, requesting to speak with someone other than Jason. The person that spoke to this time explained that they did not have my contract available to provide my balance for payment, I'd need to call back again tomorrow.
This moving company is rude, unreliable and the employees are not trained properly, they seem to be flyin by the seat of their pants. Good customer service is not their priority. I cant wait to see what kind of shape my TV, Bed set etc are in when I finally get my things out of the self storage...
