Fraud
North Plain field Nissan Rip me off when i financed 2006 Hyundai Elantra with 28, 000 mileages. I was initially agreed for $8, 872.75 with all the hidden fee along with the car price( car price was 6300.00). After spending 5 hours and reviewing all the paper work, they took me to the finance department to sign the contract. I was seven months pregnant and i was really tried, even before i sign the paper work i asked them why the total amount shows $12, 654.96 since the car price was $8, 872.75. they told me that the total price after 5 years of total interest form the bank.I didn't ask more then that and i signed it. After a month i received bank statement saying that the balance due 12, 654.96, i called the bank i explain to them but they told me i have talk to the dealer.I went there and they were very disrespect towards me. Told me that i am *** since i signed the contract.( this time i was 8 months pregnant) I was pretty much upset and frustrated. I was mentally upset few months due to this fact. I felt betrayed and disappointed. They are bunch of liars. Please think twice before buy anything from them.

Nothing, but mechanical issues
I purchased a "certified pre-owned " 2006 Pathfinder from this dealership. I was told it went through two rigoruous 90 point inspections before I purchased it. I was also told they had just put a brand new battery in it. The day I bought it, I was driving it home 10 mins from the dealer and the "service engine soon" light came on. I called my salesman the next day and he told me it was probably just a loose gas cap and I could drive it that way. The owners manual said the light should go off on its own after 2-3 trips if it was in fact the gas cap causing the light to go on. The light did not go off it stayed on for two weeks straight. I only had the car for two weeks and I came out one morning and it wouldn't start. I popped the hood and saw the battery terminals were covered in battery acid and corrosion. We called the dealer and spoke to the sales manager Laura Flores, she said the car was inspected and she was not sure how that could have happened and to bring it back to the dealer. Two days later the car wouldn't start again and then again that night.
In additon to this I was never called about my plates or registration being ready to pick up and my temp plate was set to expire. I received a call from the finance guy Arnie, asking me when I was going to pay my COD balance of $500 for DMV fees. I was never told about any balance and when I checked my sales receipt dmvadmin costs were already in the final price. It seems they were trying to get me to pay more money on top of that. He asked me to fax him a copy of my sales order. I did so and then he said I didnt owe the $500 it was their mistake. No apology either. I brought the car in to be looked at and the battery terminal cables were so rotted they had to be replaced. This was the reason the service engine light went on. This was a visible problem so the car clearly was NEVER inspected and I was lied to. I also found out that day that my registration was marked as costing only $4.50 and it expired in 3 wks. I had to renew it myself pay $76 on top of what I paid the dealer $350 just to transfer my plates and to top it off the inspection had to be done in 2 days because they held my plates without telling me for so long. Stating I owed them money I did not owe.
I have now had the car a month and it started to make a very very loud screeching sound while driving it. I brought it to Midas to have the brakes checked and was told the rear brakes were completely worn, the pads had next to nothing left and the rotors were shot I had to $300 to get the brakes fixed. When we called the dealer again citing the car was supposed to have been inspected why was all this not taken care of we spoke to Paul and he was very nasty and did not care to help.
Do not go to this dealer. I had a terrible experience and still have issues with the car they sold me for $20, 000. And I have only had it a month. When I bought the car they seemed very nice but once I was out the door I had nothing but problems with it and no help getting them fixed. They wanted nothing to do with me once I signed the paperwork.

Service Center Rip off
I have a 2005 Nissan Sentra and have received notices about a potenial recall with the main computer on my vehicle so I made my appointment and brought my car in. All I wanted to fix was the recall but was handed a work order form for a transmission flush and replacement of engine belts so ofcourse I declined to have the additional services done at this time. The service representative with an attitude adviced the technician of my decision and informed me that my car would be ready in awhile. Days go by and my car is in good working condition until I am stuck in traffic and my car starts to overheat. I finally made it home after having to wait for my car to cool down and I contacted numerous mechanics to figure out the problem. I was told to check the radiator for anti-freeze, the water reservoir, the fans that cool the radiator and even the thermostat. After topping off my anti-freeze I noticed that BOTH of the radiator fans had been disconnected. So now I connected them and ran the engine for the same time it ran when it began overheating. TO NO SURPRISE TO ME MY CAR DID NOT OVERHEAT. As a matter of fact the fans came on with no problem. This is how the dealerships get their money. You go in for one thing and have to go back because something else goes bad. I would advise everyone to STAY AWAY from this dealership and go to a reputable mechanic!!!

Fraudulent sales practices
I test drove 2 cars and decided on a 2006 Murano. Everything was fine until we began negotiating for the price of the car. The salesman, Shawn Daiany, asks me at one point to give him my debit card, so when he presents my final offer, his sales manager will know I'm serious. I refused, and he presents the offer and tells me the sales manager approved the deal. When he comes back with the contract, it contains several outrageous fees: $695.00 for "dealer prep" he explains that if the car needed work when they took it in trade, this cost gets past on the me. There was also $350.00 in "document prep fees" and $200.00 for "title and Tag registration" finally they charged $195.00 for "vehicle etching". This amounts to $1450.00 in "fees". These "fees" would have more than wiped away any "deal" I had worked out for the price of the car. I refused the deal, and contacted the Consumer Fraud Reporting Agency on Somerset County. I was told that they have received many complaints about this dealership's practices and would in fact be sending them a letter addressing these concerns. I would never do business with them.

decieving sales techniques
I had a appointment to go in for my "free oil change" that came with my car. I had my wife drop off my car for the oil change and when she was there the person that took the keys told her that I have to get a $300 service because I was at 30000 miles. If I didnt get it I would be breaking my lease contract. This was not true as I called up Nissan to discuss. This was not the first time they have pulled this. I went there two other times for service and both other times they tried to pull the same trick with me. I thought that since my wife was just dropping the car off for the oil change that was all we were going to get. She said that they were very misleading and made her believe that if I didnt get the $300 service package that we would not be able to give the car back at the end of the lease. The stuff included in the $300 package really had nothing to do with the lease. When I complained to the manager he just told me "since you are complaining we will not take your credit card for payment you need to pay cash or check"
