Northeast Diesel Reviews

Please beware of this garage!!!
In december 2006 i decided to have some repairs done to my 1989 peterbilt road tractor. I took my truck to northeast diesel for the following repairs: water pump, vibration under cab, electrical, install new heated electric mirrors, state inspection, roof lights repaired, marker lights repaired, oil leak on rear of block, pm maintenance service, replace transmission seal, weld rear axle housing.

This garage had my truck for 3 weeks and once i got it back, i drove it home about 15 miles and parked it for the night. The following morning i started it so that i could go get my trailer for loading, i only got about 3 or 4 miles from home when the temperature light and warning buzzer came on. Here when they replaced the water pump they put a bad water hose on that had split and had leaked out all of the antifreeze and water from the radiator, i had to have a road service call to repair this.

At this point i decided that it was to late to go get the trailer so i returned home and parked again for the night. The following morning i tried leaving again and had taken notice about 10 miles down the road that the vibration under the cab was far worst then when i first took the truck to the garage, so i took the truck back to the garage to have a further inspection down of the problem. They decided to keep the truck again. This time they replace the ujoints and gave me the truck back after 2 more days.

I left for Indiana with the truck and once there the truck began having problems again. I took the truck to a garage in indiana where i was only to find out that all of the transmission oil had leaked out causing the transmission to have burned up. If i had continued to drive much further i would have been stuck on the side of the road looking at a towing bill on top of things. The transmission was replace with a rebuilt one costing almost 5, 000 dollars plus motel cost as well as storage cost of 3, 000.00 because northeast diesel would not stand behind there repair and decided that they did not have enough money within there business to pay for this repair so they turned it over to their insurance company who after playing games with me for 3 weeks(the garage) the insurance company played another game for a week, all the while still being stuck in Indiana. Finally after realizing that these people simply did not care about me or what was happening i decided to come back home in pa and raise the money that i would need to get my truck out of the garage in indiana.

Almost all of the repairs that where done by northeast diesel where poorly done and i still am having issues with my truck, and as far as anyone settling with me, well, i had to get a lawyer and sue them for almost 29, 000.00 for all of the cost and loss revenue and i am still waiting for my money!!!

This whole thing has put a strain on me emotionally as well as a money burden. I have filed a complaint with the consumer affairs agency, i have contacted my state inspection office because they did not even inspect the truck, all they did was slap the sticker on the windshield and say it was inspected. They even left the truck leave their garage with a cut brake hose, which i made them fix the second time that they had the truck.

I would not trust this garage to do anything on any kind of vehicle. They have put my life as well as every one else's life that shares the road with me at stake.
