Sir,
I am a senior citizen. I am a journalist by profession. I was going from Pitamberpur railway station to Tilhar (NR) on Dec. 17, 2010. When I asked the gentle man sitting at the ticket counter at Pitamberpur ( wearing no name plate) to give me the ticket to Tilhar, he rudely ruled out to give the ticket unless and until the line was clear and bell went. Secondly, he denied to give the ticket to the desired destination without explaining the reason and dictated to buy the ticket to Shajahanpur. Though I was going to Tilhar, I had to buy the ticket to Shajahanpur (Ticket No 02408, Time: 16.45, Hrs dated 17-12-10). Thirdly, he was smoking at the ticket counter. Fourthly, when I requested him to give me the COMPLAINT BOOK, he simply replied abusing that he didn’t have. Mr. Ritu Raj Singh (R/o Jai Niwas, Main Road, Faridpur, Bareilly) and Mr. Mohan Singh ( R/o Station Road, Tilhar, Shajahanpur) came to see me off) witnessed all whatever happened with me.
Sir, for no fault of mine I had to go under humiliation as well as monetary loss. If a senior citizen has to suffer all these problems, what can be expected as regards other people? I beseech your good self to take a proper action and do justice with me.
Yours faithfully,
Shyam Raj Singh (Journalist)
