I live in a small community of 3500 in the very northern tip of California. I worked for this ambulance company and have had many friends that required their service. I worked for this company for three years until I finally had to quit because we had a co-worker get injured on the job two times and I found out that We were not covered under workmans comp. When I aked Jeanna Frost, My boss about this, she said I had no right to this information and was not entitled to know if I was covered under her insurance or not. I knew immediately this was a lie and turned in my two weeks notice. While working there I saw my boss lie repeatedly about legal matters and employees pay and patient billing issues. Siskiyoucounty is the poorest county in California but be careful if you get hurt in yreka. The ambulance is not an honest buisness here. One of my friends had to be transfered to Medford OR to have her foot amputated. The owner of the ambulance company told the crew that the tires on the ambulance had been changed and it was safe to drive. The tire blewout on the way to Medford and the crew made the patient stand up outside of the ambulance in the rain while they switched ambulances on the side of the highway. Tire shop was called; no tires were changed on that ambulance! If you are haurt or sick in yreka, you are better of to walk yourself to the hospital.
