This debt was charged off by the original creditor in 2003. The last payment made on this was in Aug. 2002.. This debt has passed through another debt collector prior to Northstar Capital. The credit limit was $300.00 When the last payment was made the balance owed was $285.00... When it was charged off it was $1, 100.00.. Northstar Capital is taking me to civil court for $2, 800.00.. I believe they acquired this in a dead paper portfolio and is now out of statute... Statute of limitations is 6 years... I never got a bill from Northstar Capital until I received a court summons...
