Unprofessional support
After renewing the subscription and while trying to activate I receive the error message: "An internet connection to the Symantec server is necessary to complete the activation process. Please be sure your computer is connected to the internet then push next to continue". Note, all the time my computer is connected. OK, what did I do, get on support chat. First person did a whole bunch of things then said "wait 24 hours" (8 days ago). A day later I tried again, same message, so back with support. The next person started with the same troubleshoot routine then left me without any reason. The third person ... same troubleshoot procedure and no solution. This went on for many times and ... no solution. Finally I got "escalated" to a supervisor who could not do anything either. Then I got someone by the name of Ahammed Shaheer who told me after more than an hour that it was late already for him and his supervisors (1:30 in the afternoon) and they would call me the next day. Off course there was no call and the support department, located in India, is a terrible disappointment. In total I have been online with support for more than 28 hours and now I feel very frustrated. I wish someone could help me. I sent an e-mail to Symantec/Norton in the USA but no answer either.
