virus
I bought norton 360 and downloaded it from the internet and did not recieve a copy of a disc, but instead recieved a hick of a lot of problems. Like my disc drive for my cd tray kept opening and shutting constantly for hours until I had to shut it down. Finally I figure how to stop it, but now my screen is flickering lines and it fade out to white. I think, No, I know I have a virus in my computer now. I thought this was suppose to protect my computer, not ruin it. I want my money back, I much rather go to a computer store and buy the disc then to have to download it off the internet for you. How are you going to deal with this situation?

technical support
My laptop kept turning off for no reason... I would go through restart checks and after the fifth time norton sent message to complete scans. I was then advised of 2 error messages and advised to start a chat with a technician. He advised me that if we were disconnected to go to www.norton.com/connectme and use connection code 215692 and hit submit. He then advised me to log onto http://www.norton.com/link and use code 615587.
When I went to log onto norton.com/link, my computer went off again... I first tried connectme and was advised that that room did not exist. So I went to /link and was advised to wait for a tecnician at 7:13pm. At 7:33pm technician came on line and then immediately disconnected.
No information, no advise, no reason. I spent over an hour of my time to get hung up on... What kind of tech support system do you have?

Renewal despite cancellation
I received a renewal warning from symantec for my Norton 360 account on the 18th Sept. I replied on the 19th telling them NOT to renew as the lap top it was installed in had been stolen.
Despite that instruction I have today received notification that it has been renewed!

Installation problems
I have spent the last 2 days trying everything I can to install the new version of Norton 360.I have tried to remove all the files from the old expired version but when I go to reload the new one it re-installes the old version.(Expired)
I found a phone #to call for help and the recording tells me to enter my credit card.(Pay by the minute for help)
I would like a Phone # I can call to get a FULL refund.
This is not the first time I have had a problem installing Norton.

Scam and cheating
I just got off the phone with customer service from Norton.They are supposed to refund $69.99 for an order made by mistake.I renewed my subscription at$59.99 yesterday and today I got 3 emails telling me I had chosen to "opt out" of Norton 360. What a mess! Hopefully everything was fixed this time.
According to the service rep. my subscription is good until October 2009. We'll see when the credit card bill comes if everything is ok. I was ready to throw the computer out the window. Why do they do this to their subscribers? I keep on getting notices that my subscription will run out even after all of this.

dodgy practices
it was pretty cheeky to send me an email telling me that you were going to automatically charge my credit card for a renewal.
what really annoys me though, and this has happenned to me before, is that when you ask me to install the update and i dont, my email stops working.
both of these are completely unethical practices.
your whole business is built on customers trustingt you guys to safeguard them from viruses. how can i trust you now?

Computer slow
Since I installed the Norton 360, 2 year product, my computer runs very slow and If it does not improve I will not be putting any Norton renewal back on this computer.

Stopping 60 days free trial
I never wanted to try Norton 360, but I got a brand new computer, and it wouldn't continue if I didn't try Norton 360. I wanted to cancel my free 60 day trial. I finally found a way to cancel these services by this email. It hasn't been the full 60 days. I don't want to be charged. I did everything to try to cancel, but the cancellation would not go through. This is my email to contact me for confirmation that the cancellation went through for my own records. Your website for Norton 360 makes it hard to cancel services. On the site it does not have anything that shows that you can cancel.

couldn't download change to another
Your company charge Two 2 of my credit cards with norton 360 I don't have never one now..Please take it off my credit cards A.S.A.P. you charge to last 4 number 7885 and 5977 I wrote you and call you about it bring charge to my accounts then i received my other card and you had charge it on my other card. I called 2 days after i try to get it in. but i couldn't and that was when i called and cansel my order.
