I purchased a Norton Anti-virus program from Norton and was charged $79.98 instead of $39.99
Order no:7156796514

I need to be refunded as I did not authorise this expenditure.

Charged twice for same service
I was charged twice for the same service. That is installing Norton Antivirus on my dad's computer ! I was charged once on June 6, 2010 and again on June 17, 2010. The first charge was $34.99 for a years service which included a 30 day free trial. The 30 day free trial came to an end and it didn't appear dad was protected any farther. I checked my Visa accn't for May and found that there was no charge to my accn't. So I thought that maybe I had made a mistake when I signed him up. Obviously, I am not a computer whiz. So I wanted him to have protection so I signed up again. This time it was $39.95 and the computer seemed to accept the Norton antivirus and loaded it and put an icon on his desktop. So all was well. Now I see on my latest Visa statement that in fact I was also charged for the original try to load the Norton Antivirus which as far as I am able to determine never loaded on his computer. And for sure he does not need two Norton Antivirus programs. I do not believe two programs can even run at the same time. I don't know what to do next??? I hope to be hearing from a representative soon. Thank you !

Billing
Hello. I downloaded a Norton antivirus trial, but immediately got a virus and had to take my computer to the shop to be recovered. I assumed that since the program ( Norton antivrus) was removed from my computer, I wouldn't be charged once the trial period was up. I have a $77.00 charge on my credit card, and a damaged computer with no Norton antivirus to show for it. Please give me the information to contact someone to remove these charges.

Fraud
I had ordered Norton Antivirus on March 13, 2010 for a 30 day trial offer which was downloaded from the internet from the Norton Antivirus website. On March 15, 2010 I called the 1-800 number to cancel the trial offer and was told that they did. At the same time I was chatting with a representative from Norton and he told me the order was cancelled also.
I needed to get my order number from them to cancel it myself but they assured me that it was cancelled. I asked for the confirmation through email which I was told by both of them that they could not send out emails because the company forbids it. Strange, to say the least.
Once I aquired my order number I went to the website to see if they had cancelled my order, they did not, so I cancelled it myself. I took a screen shot (picture) of the web page saying that it was cancelled. Ironically, I also received an email stating that I had cancelled the order.
On March 19, 2010 I received an email from Norton stating that they appreciate my recent order placed on March 13, 2010. The email made no mention of it being cancelled. Actually, they had reactivated it. I went to the website again and cancelled that one. I assume that this will be an ongoing thing until the 27th day till they charge my credit card for the unauthorized charges.
I have thought of closing the account and re-opening another one, but other people have reported that they have done this and Norton had charged their new number. I think it would be a waste of my time, plus, I have no other card to use while I wait for a new one.
I wrote an email to the company and received an automatic reponse saying the 'they care'. If they cared they would respect their customers wishes.
I had stated in the email, in chat, and on the phone with the reps that I do not want an order from Norton. I am being reactivated because they can't stant the fact that the trial offer was cancelled before the 27th day. Please don't use Norton. Their business practices are unethical.

Unathorized renewel
I have not used Norton for almost a year.. Today I find a "Renewel charge" on my credit card statement. I tried calling Norton on my 1 hour comute this morning and was on hold for 54 minutes. As I type this I have been on hold a second time for 65 minutes. THIS IS A JOKE! I have over 2 hours on hold today and still listening to their elevator music! These people need to be fined! If anyone starts a class action lawsuit I am in!

Cancelled order
To Whom It May Concern
On Dec.24 2009 I downloaded a free 30 day trial version of the NortonAntivirus. After consulting with my company and finding that I was not authorized to order such a program I cancelled the program. Since in the ad it said that if I cancelled within 30 days there would be no charge I assumed it was taken care of. When I recieved my card statement this month and there was a charge for that for 39.99 and another charge from you for 79.98 I'm confused. Since I did cancel the program in the alotted time please remove the charges from my credit card a.s.a.p. so I can get this mess straightened up with my company.
Thank You in advance for handling this matter,
Gary

Scam
I downloaded Norton 360 antivirus only to discover that there were 'several' problems with the software. When I called one of thier service reps, I got someone in India that could barely speak english. Well, that was it for me. I removed the software and cancelled my trial after 3 days. Two months later, Norton billed me for $64.99 ! They refunded my money, but in the process they caused 3 overdrafts in my bank account ! It took them (Norton) about 5 days to refund my money, but the fact of the matter is that they had no business charging me anything. I sure wish that they could be held accountable.
