Hi, I have just purchased a new computer for my daughter for her 18th birthday (1 week ago) and because we know and love teenagers we buy them the "best" protection for their computers because we're well aware they're going to access sites they shouldn't. But that's not the funny part. After 1 week of chatting on facebook, downloading tunes from limewire, etc, today she cannot open explorer because vista internet security 2010 has alerted her of a virus, unbeknown to me at the time that "IT" was the virus (or trojan)!! So after hours of failed attempts to get her up and running again I google this on my computer only to find out that "IT" was the problem. Here's the funny part ... the first three downloads offered to fix this problem are to purchase NORTON!!! Hahahaha!!! Buy Norton and this can't happen. So I think, well ..., I did and it's installed on her computer, so let me contact them, which I did ... of course! The lovely lady on the telephone told me that she can put me through to the technicians who could help me resolve this issue BUT (big but) ... it will cost me!! Do you have any idea how many thousands of solutions there are that will cost me???? Why would I pay for a service for a product that I already have paid for???? I can only think of two words that sum up how i'm feeling right now ... RIPPED OFF ... No ... PISSED OFF. Thanks for the great product and even better support.

charges on my credit card i didn't know about
I noticed after checking my bank statement I have two charges from the company listed above. One of the charges was for 34.99 and the other was for 74.99. I do not know exactly what the charges were for. I did download Norton Anti-virus from the website, which would account for one of the charges. What can I do to stop charges from my account and possibly get the amount of the unauthorized charges back?
I am contacting my bank and possibly my lawyer if I do not hear from you on this matter. If this is how you contact buisness I will go else where in the future.

No service despite having paid
Last week I experienced virus problems. I contacted Norton and was given pin number 194194. The case number was 497286038. I received phone calls which seemed to emanate from India, judging by the accents of the helpful operators. I was asked to make a payment which I did, by credit card and then as I had another commitment it was agreed that they would telephone me the next morning at an agreed time. The telephone call never came through and by that time the computer would not function at all. As I could no longer contact Norton I had to take the computer to a local firm which, although there was a delay because of other work, were able to fix the problems for a quarter of the amount I had already paid Norton. Now that I have the computer back and running I am requesting a refund of the money already paid. I can be contacted at 27-21-7943072 during South African daylight hours. Ian Gillespie

Stole my information to renew subscription
Norton contacted me via e-mail and asked for my new card information so that they could renew my subscription to their Internet Protection service. I did not want to renew my subscription, so I did not give them my new card number. A few days later I received another e-mail from them thanking me for renewing my subscription with my NEW number that I NEVER provided them with. This type of activity is what Norton claims to protect against, yet they are the ones performing the theft.

Why did you charge me??
why did you charge me for $64.99 and 34.99. i never buy your product, just dowload the free trial. I recieve an email from [email protected] saying that they have recently cancelled those subscriptions, but I sill haven't got my money back yet. Furthermore, i wonder how you get to my bank account. i never provide any infomation about it. |

hi im not very happy with the fact that you have taken it upon yourself to renew my norton secerity with out confirming it with me and taken money out of my bank account which is an offence i will be taking this further.

unauthorized charging money
An amount of euro 60, 00 was unauthorized deducted on January 2, 2010 from my credit card and also for delivering nothing, because my old emailadres chris.pronk@ home.nl and my home computersystem are are disconnected from the internet and power and therefor not functioning anymore for almost six months. Please refund immediately.
