This employer is taking advantage of the 90 day trial working period that is set by MA state employment laws.
NPWS in Worcester hires people, only to let them go before the 90 day period. They do not advertise their employment positions as being temporary or for a short period of time and lay the employee off before being able to work long enough in order to meet the requirements to become eligible for unemployment benefits. They hire the right candidate for the job, as any other company would do and then let them go without reasonable cause. This allows NPWS to get the skills they need from an employee but without having to pay a full salary and without having to pay unemployment benefits. Please be careful if you are looking to do marketing or any other work for them. This is very unethical practice and you don't want to get caught in it,
