I took my 99' Ford to get a new battery at the 40k on odometer and took to NTB. At the time I didn't realize they hooked up the battery haphazardly, and left the negative terminal loose. After a few week's, I notice an excess of corrosion around the negative terminal with build up of powder. I cleaned the terminal, and left it at that. Few more weeks, battery finally has it and dies (Alternator cannot charge if not connected properly). So it requires a jump start, and when I go to remove the negative jumper the whole terminal comes off the battery in my hand. I bring it back, and tech tells me they charged the battery and replaced the terminal. Bring the car home and 72 hours later car wont start. Jump start again, bring to NTB and they promise to put in NEW battery. Return to pick car up, and tech tells me my cars electrical system is bleeding power somewhere, and they need me to pay $100 for tracing where a 12 volt draw to battery. I refuse and tell them if the electrical system is messed up...they caused it and should fix it. They refuse, and tell me to leave. I used some choice expletives, I completely lost it and started yelling at the tech in the lobby in front of all the other customers, and he just stood there like an idiot. I go to leave and my car won't start, I return to lobby and continue my verbal assault when another tech jumps in and asks what is going on? I know tell him the WHOLE story, and he assures me he will take a look and for me to wait. I leave enraged, I get a call 90 minutes later and this tech tells me there was no 12 volt draw, and that the battery was dead. He said it was under warranty and they will replace it no charge.
So to get a new WORKING battery hooked up correctly it took 5 visits to NTB and to be disrespected, talked down to, and just plain rude employees, I WILL NEVER USE NTB AGAIN!!! CONSUMERS BEWARE OF NTB (MERCHANTS) TIRE...TERRIBLE SERVICE AND THEY WILL WASTE YOUR TIME AND THEIR PRODUCTS ARE JUNK!!!
