Sold me a Lemon of a car and warranty did not cover what was promised
Problem: A "lemon" of a car. I bought my son a 1995 Acura Legend from Nu Star Motors in Rancho Cordova in August 2007. I'm a single mom and took my two boys to get my oldest a car. Of course the salemen/and finance person made lots of promises regarding the car. Such as fixing a dent. (Never fixed) I bought a used warranty and when it came to using the warranty, it did not cover anything the finance person said it would cover. I did not even get a copy of the warranty agreement. After all this I repeatedly called and faxed to cancell the warrenty back in March, 2008. To this day they have not return the cancelled warranty premium nor has anyone contacted me regarding it. I have tried leaving messages, faxing letters and even sent a certified letter to get it resolved. The car runs like hell and I still have no money to fix it. It has something to do with the engine. I have all the information and facts that is wrong with the car. I had to finance the car and still owe about $5K to my credit union. I also called the warranty company and they said they mailed out a check for the cancelled policy to Nu Star on 7/14/08, the check cleared on 7/23/08 per Drivers Edge Warranty Co.. I gave Nu-Star until 7/31/08 to send me a check or else. I actually faxed all the information to their corporate office in Shingle Springs since the Rancho Cordova shop is closed. I don't know where to go from here. If you can help me I really would appreciate it. I don't feel confortable to have my son or myself drive the car but I still owe so much on it. I can be reached at 916-300-9879. I would like Nu-Star to pay me what I paid for the car!! Thank you Silvia
