Auto loan
Nuvell Financial informed me that they charged off my account to another company and I could not keep my payment arrangment.
They said they sold it to GMAC. GMAC told me that Nuvell sold the account to Allied Corporation and Allied Corporation said they sold my account to Consumer Services. They said my truck was charged off October 2009. I've tried to make arrangments to pay my truck off severals times with all of these companies to no avail. Recently my truck got repossessed and Nuvell sent me a letter demanding payment even though they told me that they did not own my account because they charged it off. When I asked GMAC they told me that they accrued all of the accounts from Nuvell since they were charged off and this is what the stimulus money paid for.
I asked if my truck being charged off was included in the write off on Corporate Taxes. If that be the case then Nuvell has been compensated for the loss. I would like to get my truck back but I don't know who to pay. This is bad business and I think that I have been scammed.

HARRASING PHONE CALLS. BAD BUSINESS ETHICS
WE HAVE AN AUTO ACCOUNT WITH NUVELL. THIS WILL BE THE LAST YEAR WE WILL HAVE TO DEAL WITH THEM THANK GOD. IF YOU GET BEHIND ON A PAYMENT THEY CONSTANTLY CALL YOU 10 TIMES A DAY. IT STARTS AT 8AM UNTIL 7PM. I HAVE TALKED TO A CUSTOMER REP AND EXPLAINED WHEN THEY CAN EXPECT MY PAYMENT. I BET IN THE NEXT 4 HRS ANOTHER REP WILL CALL. IT REALLY PISSES ME OFF. I ASK THEM DID THEY NOT READ THE NOTES FROM THE LAST REP I TALKED TO. IF YOU DONT TALK TO THEM THEY BLOW YOUR PHONE UP. WHEN YOU MAKE A PAYMENT ARRANGEMENT WITH THEM THEY STILL CALL EVERY 3 DAYS ALL DAY LONG. I BET I NEVER DEAL WITH THEM AGAIN...GOOD LUCK PEOPLE WHO HAVE TO DEAL WITH NUVELL

Overcharging, False Loan Contract
My husband and I got a car loan through them in 11/2004. We got to looking at our online payment history and past statements this weekend as we are planning to either refinance our car or else pay it off because of unforseen circumstnces that have made it hard for us to keep paying on this loan that nevr seems to end. As we got to looking at everything and I went and pulled out the loan contract we signed at the dealershp we realized that what we have paid in the last 5 and 9 months is only 1500 dollars less than what the total of all payments are supposed to be. So I called Nuvell today and tried to get some informatin about why we are being told our standing balance is 4800 dollars plus some more for fiance fees and other hidden costs. And also why we are getting charged over 35oo dollars more than original contract. The lady I proceeded to talk to kept telling me that it states in our contract that whenever we are late we get charged a late fee of after 15 days plus $2.35 in fees for everyday we are late. She also tried to tell us that our loan contract was for 66 months not 60 and that our interest rate on our contract is different than what they supposedly have on their copy of the contract. My husband's boss's accountant then tried to call them and get a pay off amount and Nuvell is refusing to give them or us a payoff amount.

Car Loan
Due to losing my job I have been unable to keep up with my payments. I fell 3 months behind. I called someone up at Nuvell, told them that I would have the 4 payments on a certain date and that they would be paid thru the current month. They said they would note my call. I went online to make the payment and could not. I then get a letter in the mail, telling me my account was a charge off and they referred me to their "Asset Collection Service" They told me to go out and make a loan or borrow the money from someone to pay them off in full. Which, of course, I can't. I've had the car for 3 1/2 years and still owe $12K on it (I paid $12K for it).
I told them to come and pick up the car. It's sitting in my front yard. I can't pay it in full and I can't make a loan for it or borrow the money. They haven't picked it up, but, now I'm getting harassing phone calls several times a day from an "Investigator".
I'm about to see a lawyer.

account
My father had an auto loan through Nuvell. He passed away last June.At the time of his passing he had already payed off half of the loan. I contacted them about his passing.I was told that since the car was half payed that they would allow me to keep the car.I had to just keep up with the payments. I was sent paper work to sign which included proof of insurance.I sent the paperwork back immediately.I waited a week to hear from them. nothing.I then called. Not only was it difficult to get in contact with someone but, no one knew what they were doing.I spoke to five different people.I finally got in touch with the supervisor. She claimed that they never received the paper work. She proceeded to give me their fax number. I immediately faxed a copy to her. I waited yet another week. again, nothing.I called and spoke to a woman named Kristin. She told me that they received the paperwork but cannot find the copy of the insurance. I faxed it to her right away.I called her back soon after and she told me she got it.I waited yet another week and again no one contacted me. I called again.I spoke with a man named Chew.He proceeded to tell me that the application was viewed and accepted. In the mean time, both the registration and the inspection on the vehicle expired. I contacted Nuvell to inform them of this. They refused to put the car in my name or to even send motor vehicles a paper stating that its in my name.During this whole time I had already paid two months for the car.I payed over the phone and each payment came out of my bank account.I fought with them for two months I called and told them that in the state of Pa. if the tags are expired it will be towed. They told me they weren't going to put it in my name unless I pay it off in full.I told them then they can come and get the car. They told me they weren't going to because they would lose money on it.so the car remained parked with bad tags.I found out from my insurance that since the car itself wasn't in my name, if there was an accident i couldn't collect.I called Nuvell for the last time. The supervisor this time claimed they never received the paperwork and that the payments I had made bounced.I have never encountered such unprofessionals in my life. Not only was I in morning, but I had to deal with dishonest crooks.MY father passed away with no estate. They knew this. Then, out of the blue they called and said they were taking the car for non-payment.Now they sold it at auction and are trying to get me to pay the back balance. The car is not in my name and my father had no estate. I will not pay for a bill that is not mine.I hope this company is investigated and put out of business, They stole from me and probably others!!!

Harrassment
Nuvell Financial has proved itself to be nothing but a harrassment company from the beginning of my loan. I purchased loan protection insurance when I purchased my car and when I needed to use it they refused saying they never got any paperwork. I sent them a copy but they refused to honor it saying they didn't have what I did. Since then I have had significant health problems and they have refused to work with me to either re-work the payments and anything else. They call 15-20 times a day from 8:00 am to nearly 9:00 pm and the personnel are so rude I just feel like it's ridiculus to try and talk to them. Now that Nuvell if closing, where does that leave us? I think this company should be investigated for poor business practices. In this economy, people who are willing to try and work things out should be at least offered the opportunity to. Don't be lulled into signing anything for this company.

Harrassment and Fraud
For the last four years I have been dealing with Nuvell. I am in the army and in April 06 I was stationed outside of the US for one year. Upon returning to the States I needed to hold off on a payment to Nuvell for one month so I could get situated at my new duty assignment. I called Nuvell and they let me delay the payment. In June of that year I made two payments to Nuvell to make up for the one that I missed. Then again in September of 2007 I made two payments, so I thought I am well ahead in the game. To this day I continuously get harrassing phone calls saying I am late on payments. This last September I fell for them saying I was late and got an extension plus added a payment to the end of my total bill. Now supposedly I'm still late.
This company has got to be the worst company I have ever dealt with. I, as a lot of you out there, get numerous phone calls a day asking for a payment due to supposedly being "Late". I have automatic payments coming out of my bank account to Nuvell, so how do I become late? It is always a "Joy" to call Nuvell and talk to them due to the fact that they are the rudest, most unprofessional people out there. Last week I actually talked to one of the ladies in the debt department and to my surprise she was actually nice. She went through my whole payment history with me and came to the conclusion that in fact I wasn't late on any payments since 2006. She advised me to call the finance department and have let them know the same, but the lady there was not going to listen to that. She was quick to hang up on me (that happens a lot with them), so I called back and was told that I was late and got a lecture on paying my bills on time.
Now, I am here with the rest of you that are really tired of getting screwed over by Nuvell. Like most my credit history isn't great and am stuck with what I've got in Nuvell. If there is anyone out there that is thinking of going with this company please re-think your decision. These people are rude, unprofessional, harassing and unpleasant to deal with.

Harrassing phone calls
I purchased a vehicle from them in 2004. My payments are $466.60 for a mini van that originally cost $18, 000. I have been paying on the vehicle for 4 years, and will continue paying until 2011. I have been unemployed for one year, and have done my best to keep up with the payments. But they say that they DO NOT have a "grace period". So if you're ONE DAY lete, they start calling YOU, AND EVERYONE THAT YOU KNOW!
My boyfriend's STEP-FATHER got a phone call, and so did my Aunt who lives 1300 miles away from me, whom I haven't spoken to in 3 years.
They told me that this was perfectly legal, and they wouldn't stop doing it because their tactic "worked" because I called them to complain.
I told them that I could pay my one payment that I'm behind, PLUS the current month's payment on 10/3 (11 days from today), and they said NO! They told me that I had until Friday.
In this economy, you'd think that they would understand, and be willing to work with people. I told them that I got a full time job, and once I started getting paid on the 3rd, I would be current every month. But that wasn't good enough for them.
They call 15 times per day! They threaten to repossess the vehicle and they harrass you. At this point, I honestly wish they would just repossess the van and end my personal HELL with them!

Horrible tactics and customer service!
I will walk before ever agreeing to Nuvell's terms again. When I purchased my vehicle I should have, stopped and said forget it. The Nuvell Financing managed to finance me on two vehicles. I had to have the dealer cancel the one. From there it only gets better. I lost my job and was under the impression that i was covered, but because of the protection plan offered through Nuvell. However, I was informed that I didn't have the protection and as soon as I was 10 days late it started. I eventually got 90 days behind but mailed (2) payments. Despite the 20 phone calls a day, A representative from Dallas, Left a message that I Stole his vehicle and even posted comments on my girlfriends my space... I mean seriously, if you have to go through this much B.S., to get financed, then maybe it's just not worth it. I would personally like to see a massive lawsuit against this poorly operated company for harassment and false presentations. After all, anyone who pays for the protection doesn't get it when times get bad. In fact the Nuvell Website is nothing but lies, the only time that company will ever thank you, is the day you screw up and sign with them. I was to the point of going to Dallas and meeting the telephone tough guy in person, because I was tired of the harassment. Stay the hell away from Nuvell...
