This SMALL (small minded & self serving ) company has only 55 employees. If you call their customer service or main phone number all you will get is an "answering service" who makes out a ticket and emails you a ticket number. You will rarely, if ever talk to a employee of this company unless you threaten to cancel your account. Nuvio only wants to communicate with its customer by email, even tech services.

If you leave a call back phone number, they use the excuse that the number you gave them was " disconnected or not in service". I have had this excuse at least 7 times.

I had an old VoIP box on my business phone that was originally issued by Champion Communications. Since being sold/acquired 1st to Nextboom then to Nuvio I had nothing but calling & connectivity issues. For over a year, I constantly called tech services when I moved to Wisconsin. After we moved back to Texas we continued with these same issues. Finally, it was decided that my box was not operable due to age. They sent me a new box...then it took me from 11/12/2009 until 12/22/2009 to get my new box up and running. THIS WAS MY BUSINESS PHONE.

Over 18 months I am still having calling & connectivity problems.

Nuvio has such complicated incoming security protocols, that most ISPs are not compatible with Nuvio's protocols, making the VoIP box all but useless when calls come in, but will allow you to call out.

On July 23 a lightening strike hit a hotel we were staying at and fried our new Nuvio box. Nuvio wanted me to pay for another box, when I my Champion contract said all equipment replacements were free. Again I called Nuvio tech services...they emailed me 3 times demanding that I pay for a new box, so I cancelled my account on 7/30/2010.

On 8/1/2010 I was fraudulently charged for August service when my VoIP box is fried. Now they want to charge me $19.99 to cancel my account.

If you are a former business or residential customer of Champion Communications or Nextboom, you have now have Nuvio telecommunication services. Nuvio has failed to have these former Champion or Nextboom customers sign a Nuvio customer service agreement. But Nuvio uses their agreement to enforce their agreement. I have no written agreement with Nuvio, but they want to cite their agreement in order to keep $19.99 for canceling their crummy services.
