My family and I were on vacation in Myrtle Beach the week of April 13th. We recieved an unsolicted phone call in out hotel room on the 14th from a lady named Alexis promising us a $100 check, a 3 day 2 night vacation, 6 bowling passes, and 6 casino cruise passes for coming in to hear a timeshare presentation. I normally say no but after talking to my wife we agreed. Alexis proceded to tell me since we were booking on short notice(leaving on Thurs. 16th) she would add another 3 day 2 night vacation. I informed her that I had my 10 and 4 year old sons and she assured me they would be taken care of in a liscenced day care facility on site. When we arrived the next afternoon the first thing I saw was a sign stating until further notice the daycare was closed. When questioned we were told we would be meeting in there anyway so the kids could play while we had our presentation. At the same time another family with 2 small girls came in. When the sale people came out to get both families the other family ended up in the kids room. Our salesman assured us he would be quick and having the kids was ok. After about 15-20 minutes my oldest asked for coloring books and crayons which were provided and the presentation continued. An hour in our salesman excused himself, minutes later a different man, heavyset with slightly graying black hair, came over and started appologizing. He stated through no fault of ours they were ending the presentation, the marketing group should have booked us with the Bluegreen group. This group had year round daycare where Oceania only had it seasonly. He would contact them and have them provide the gifts for our troubles. As soon as we got back to our hotel we called Alexis and informed her as to what happened. She said she would check into it and get back to us. After several more phone calls that afternoon and the next morning before leaving town we still had no answers. Alexis had given us her personal cell number so I called her again The 22nd and was assured they had not forgotten us and they were still getting to the bottom of it. She told me the resort listed us as bolting on the presentation and when she told them that was a lie they back tracked and said we were paying more attention to the children than the salesman. It is apparent to me they don't have children because I heard every word even while helping my 4 year old color. If I ever decide to purchase a timeshare I will NEVER buy from these people.
