I ordered a Blueant Z9I bluetooth headset from BUY.COM. When I received it, it came from one of their Marketplace sellers, OEM Cellution. I knew something was wrong when it came in an envelope instead of a box. In the envelope was a ziplock baggie with the contents of what should have been in retail packaging. Immediately, I noticed that the headset had been used as it had ear goo all over it. It was disgusting. The next thing I noticed is that it was supposed to come with two different size ear pieces. It came with two, but they were both the same size. I charged the headset. Upon attempting to pair it with my phone, it was not recognized. I tried at least 10 times. I even rebooted the phone several times. Then I tried pairing with my computer. Not recognized. Obviously I was sent a used and broken item that was clearly marked (on the website and receipt) Brand New.

My BUY.COM Order History informed me that I must contact OEM Cellution for the return. I called the number given. I woke somebody up and received a very sleepy 'Hello' from somebody named George. (at 5:00pm PST) I asked if this was a personal number or a company. He said personal. I told him I was trying to reach OEM Cellution and this was the number given by BUY.COM. He said, 'Oh yeah, that's me.'

I explained to him the situation and he said, 'just send it back and we'll give you another one.' I told him I didn't want another used, broken and disgusting headset, I paid for a brand new one, not one sent in a crushed envelope. He said they remove their items from the retail package to be 'Green' and save on shipping. Bullshit. They sell disgusting used and broken items that they can't send in retail packaging because they don't have the retail packaging, so they use the ziplock baggie from their lunch sandwich and send you ***.

I am totally disappointed that BUY.COM allows businesses like this to sell on their website. I've liked BUY.COM for a long time and have been buying from them for years. I even post deals from them on my website blog (that's going to change). However, I've noticed lately that they are selling a lot 'refurbished' (or as I call 'rubbish') items. I've bought a few and they've all been in very poor shape. They give you no information on who did the 'refurbishing', or the what shape the item is in.

Anyway, I contacted BUY.COM customer service (that was a mission finding the number (800-800-0800)). I called them because the conversation with George (who just woke up) was so unprofessional that I was not going to blindly send anything back to him. Besides, I paid BUY.COM for this item and they are responsible for correcting the problem. They told me someone will get back to me via email in a few days.

STAY AWAY FROM OEM CELLUTION. They also have a poor rating on BUY.COM.
