I was trying to purchase gas at the pump with my Visa Checkcard. I received a message to go into store, so I did. The cashier told me to slide my card, but it did not work. He then suggested that I input the card number, I informed him it was not letting me do that. He then asked for my card. I came him the card, and the machine read approved. He then asked for my pin number, I said this is a credit transaction and it was already approved. I am not giving you my pin. He said " I need to see your id". I said "it is in the car, and asked for my credit card back. I told him I would bring it in. He said "he would need to reverse the charge", I said "okay fine". I went outside and got my id, I gave him the card and the id. I said" I just want to show you, I am who I say I am. He said " you will need to swipe your card again. I said "no", I will not be getting gas here. I said "I don't like the way, I have been treated and I think you are running a scam. Why would you need my pin, when you had an approved transaction. He said " the machine asked for my pin', I asked him to give me a printout of it saying that. He couldn't so I left the store and informed him I would be reporting this store. I think they have been getting away with treating people this way, and being from out of town this is not acceptable. Today, I looked at my account and I have a debit of $15.00, which was the amount he supposedly reversed. I called the store and the young lady said her name was Mary and the owner was Shueta would not be in today. She gave me the corporate number, which is just a bunch of recordings. I called my bank to dispute the charge. I have never experienced anything like this before, and can't believe people are being taken advantage of like this. I went into the store on July 2nd, and I saw the item pending but figured it would not actually go through. I was wrong!
