My tv quite working while I was watching a program and would not come back on. I bought this tv from office depot last year. They never asked us if we wanted to purchase and extended warranty for the tv. So when I contacted them they said they no longer sell this brand and could not do anything about it. So I contacted Olevia by phone and by e-mail, every time I got someone on the phone they were from a different country and it was hard to get them to understand me and it was hard to understand them, anyway they wanted me to send the tv back to them. I checked around one place wanted to charge me over $100.00 and they could not insure it. Ups said they would not ship it. We were not sure if this was a good idea, we would be spending more money and was not sure if we would ever see the tv again. So I asked them if they could send me another one and let me put my tv back in the box and send it back to them they told me that they couldn't do this.
My husband took the tv to a local repairman this cosed us $60.00 just to let him look at it. He said the power board had went out on it and he could not fix it, because he could not find a power board for it. So I talked to Olevia again and they told me they could sell me one for $220.00, this tv is still under warranty until March the 15th. I was so mad we just left the tv at the repair shop I guess they still have it. We did not know what to do. We did not want to put any more money into a tv that may go out anytime. The tv cost @ $550.00, we bought it with our stimulus check last year. The tv was in a spare bedroom, we had not even used it very much. We mostly bought it for our grandchildren to watch when they came over. I have lost sleep over this I have never bought anything that I could not return or could not get it repaired. This is so crazy no wonder the country is going under.
