In 2004 we found termite swarmers in our home and basement. I contracted with Olympic to detect and eliminate the termites. They installed bait stations around the home to detect and eliminated the termites. Each spring the swarmers returned and each spring Olympic employees told me I did NOT have termites, only swarmers ( ie swarmers don't mean you have termites.) We trusted them and 3 or 4 years ago a wall in my basement fell down because of active termite damage. Jim ( the owner) came and told us he was sorry they failed to detect the termites and that his employee should have found the signs of active infestation years before. He said he would eliminated the termites. We paid to reconstruct the wall and again the swarmers returned the following april and each spring thereafter. In Spring of 2011 the swarmers returned again in the basement and garage and I personally located the active colony in the floor joists in the boiler room where the wood joists had been destroyed. In 9 years that Olympic was under contract, they failed to detect, locate or eliminate any active termites while the termites destoyed the wood walls and floor joists in the boiler room area. I sent them a letter several months ago asking them to return my original $900 fee and annual $195 maintenance fees. Olympic has not had the courtesy to respond to my request. After consultation with other termite erradication companies, the swarmers in my basement and garage were a result of an active termite colony in my basement floor joists and walls which Olympic failed to detect or eliminate.
