"On Sale Bazaar" is the same company as LiquidationDepot. We almost sent the money, but decided to check the company out at the last minute when we came across the Liquidation Depot complaint. Fortunately On Sale Bazaar left an obscure reference to LD.
We found an add on Craigslist for a treadmill supposedly located in St Louis for half the closest sale price. We got the same email response but any follow up email goes unanswered. Repeated phone calls are never answered. They direct you as follows:
"Purchase a MoneyPak package (or more) for the amount of your order.
Can be purchased in variable denominations! MoneyPak maximum amount varies by retailer, but most allow loads from $20 - $500 per MoneyPak. You must purchase the GreenDot MoneyPak package for $4.95, not the Green Dot Prepaid Card for $9.95.
VERY IMPORTANT: DO NOT PURCHASE ANY GREEN DOT PREPAID DEBIT CARD, our company process payments using own payment system, Pick up a MoneyPak from the Prepaid Product Section or Green Dot display and take it to the register. The cashier will collect your cash and load it onto the MoneyPak.
Locate the GreenDot MoneyPak Activation Number (14-20 digits), see the image below: "
This process leaves you with nothing! You are giving them an activation code to replentish their account. Further research showed that there is an address in Warren, Michigan but it appears to be a residential neighborhood. Our repeated phone calls and emails were requesting a pickup of the merchandise, which saved us losing our money. Our story is the same as others that fell for the Liquidation Depot scam, we were lucky not to send the money though. Hope this saves someone else the grief of being taken.
