Alleged Breach of Contract
After my business closed, after the original term of the contract was satisfied, and the telephone service, which was billed one month in advance, terminated by written notice, I kept receiving telephone bills. I called a number of times to customer service for an investigation, and was told that cancellation required a one month notice, and therefore, even though I was paid in advance, an extra month bill would be rendered, and no credit given for the month prepaid. A few months later, I got a call regarding collections, indicating that the contract was "evergreen", and thus regardless of termination, I was under a new contract term, and I had to pay a contract termination fee. I advise all to specifically review the contract agreement and cross out any such proposed language, or simply walk from the company.

no early cancellation fee
DO NOT SIGN A LONG TERM AGREEMENT WITH ONE COMMUNICATIONS!!

There is no early cancellation fee. If you decide to go with another telecom service provider YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY THE FULL AMOUNT the One Comm contract. Also, you must notify "One" 30 days before the contract ends if you want to opt-out. They send a letter offering 3 free months of service if you renew the contract, so you get trapped in a never-ending contract.
Also, "One" uses Verizon's phone lines. If you have a problem with service, they have to call Verizon. But Verizon is obligated to serve their own customers first, so you get kicked to the back of the line.
We switched our service to Comcast, not knowing about the terms of our contract with One.
After the switch, a One rep called us with glee in his voice to tell us that $5000.00 will be due on the cancelled contract. He then informed us that we had a 30 day window to opt-out with Comcast, and that we could sign a new deal with One to avoid the $5000.00 fee. We had no choice but to resign with One and cancel Comcast.
I wish that were the end of it. But after nearly three months phone calls, shut-off notices & miscommunication within One, we finally have the One service back.

ONE HUGE HEADACHE!!

What a Great Change
What a great turn around. About a year ago my husband made a complaint against One Communications for billing issue we were having. I am back to let everyone know that this company has made such a great effort in resolving our issues and the service has been fantastic. Time to eat some crow and thank One Comm for stepping up and making us very happy customers. My account rep told me about the many changes they made within their customer service and service delivery teams and I wasn't buying it at first. We just ordered a 10 site MPLS network for our Car Dealership business 8 months ago and the installation was perfect. No down time and we're saving 45% ($7, 500) in savings over our last carrier. What can I say...companies do change and One Comm has earn my trust back.

No Complaint
I"VE HAVE NOTHING BUT GOOD THINGS TO SAY ABOUT ONE COMMUNICATIONS...
I orginally went on this website to write a complaint about another company and I decided to search out One Communications as I have just had such a wonderful experience with this company and their customer service and tech people. I resently switch over from Broadview and Verizon all my voice and Internet traffic. One Communications gave me a unreal cost savings and I was nervouse about the service I would recieve. I can honestly say its been the best I have ever had. The service is outstanding and the customer service is prompt and returns my calls. I love the feature they have to call into customer care and leave your number and they call you back within a couple minutes. I find many of these complaints unfounded and I felt I should lend my support to a company that has saved us thousands of dollars and delivered on everything they promised.

THANK YOU ONE COMMUNICATIONS!

Finance Charges
One communications has the worst billing system I have EVER seen in my 20 years of Accounts Payable experience. In the normal business world, we set up current charges only. They expect me to go back on every bill to see if they have added any fees to the balance forward!! Is this a joke!!! I process thousands of invoices weekly and they want me to remember to see if they have added charges. If they expect me to pay finance charges, which I am willing to do if we are late, then they need to make this charge available as a "Current Fee" not a "Balance Forward" fee. Let me know if you agree!

I just want to say that this was the worst customer service experience of my life
I just want to say that this was the worst customer service experience of my life. I called in to One Comm at around 12:45pm on a Sunday in the middle of a very busy brunch shift where after 3 of our 4 lines as well as our internet went down. This not only disabled our main credit processing but also our backup, leaving us unable to process 4k of open credit card tabs. I was told on the phone that a verizon rep would be out to see us within 2 to 3 hours. After numerous calls to multiple customer service reps, I was repeatedly told that Verizon would surely be there to fix the technical problem that night. I was also told I would have calls back within 30 min each time with their ETA. None of this was followed through with. At 10pm, I was finally told that no one would be there to fix the problem after I called back yet again. I asked to speak to a supervisor, who couldn't be located, I asked to speak to a Verizon rep, who told me to call One Comm. Additionally, this problem has been going on for weeks and nothing has been done despite numerous attempts to fix on our part. If you are a small business who depends on DSL/phone for revenue, DO NOT USE ONE COMMUNICATIONS . We essentially lost 10 thousand dollars worth of business in one day because of incompetence.

This company is pure garbage
I almost dont know where to start. This company is only focused on one thing - closing a sale. The engineering team is terrible, and as others have mentioned - it shows they lack training. Customer service is non-existant and they cant communicate with eachother or even look in the same systems. We had trouble one night during a scheduled maintenance - I say scheduled becuase we actually coordinated to have engineers on call. Wehn we ran into issue, we called and got put on hold. After waiting 30 minutes, we hung up and tried again - it went to hold. This was at 10:00pm, so we left the phone on desk and went home. In the morning, it was still on hold. Come to find out - they outsource their support.

It gets better, I have emails from the Director of customer service saying they would cover our costs for bringing in our own engineers - when I gave them the bill, they rejected it and continue to do so. They line-items a Class C ASN in our contract, but have not delivered on after 18 months.

This company is pure garbage. They claim active monitoring on their cicuits - we've had them go out all the time and they never know until we call. For the couple of extra dollars - go to AT&T - the lines come from there anyway... For the record, we have a 6M DIA.

Please learn from my mistake
My phone, fax and internet service has been done for 3 days at my law office. My office has come to a complete standstill. Customer service has promised a technician be out to resolve the issue time and time again. Here, we are 3 days later and no technician and no call back from customer service. Please learn from my mistake. STAY CLEAR. You get what you pay for.

They have not been able to provide me with good internet
I made the decision to switch my phone and data/internet service from One Communications to another provider after two years. I understood I would have to pay a small fee to get out of my contract early (about $300.00). I was told that and understood that I had to pay that fee. When I cancelled my internet service they informed me I had to pay $2, 925 to cancel my data/internet service.I have asked they to send me a copy of the contract with my signature stating the fees for early termination. They have not been able to provide me with that. I found another service provider that is charging me half of what One Communications charges.

Forced to pay thousands in attorney fees to defend myself against this ridiculous charge
After my contract with One Communications ad expired, I opted to switch to a new phone company which literally cut my bill in half. I sent One a fax explaining the swicth and the date it would take place. On the day of the switch, I sen all of my One Comm equipment back inside boxes they had provided with return labels. Of course, I kept receiving a monthly equipment bill. I called and called and called to get it resolved. No luck. Collection calls began coming from collectors, I provided them with all of he documentation and they agreed i was in the right. 18 Months later, I jsut received a court summons for unpaid equipment charges for equipment I had sent back. They billed me 5t straight months after receiving their equipment back. I will now be forced to pay thousands in attorney ffes to defend myself against this rtidiculoyus charge. I am completelky outraged. Be sure to avoid sales.
