Freakin' idiots!
We were just sent an invoice for 0.01 (a penny) from One Communications of Cincinnati, OH for long distance service. They also informed us on the invoice that we would be charged a $9.95 Billing and collection fee if we refused to pay the invoice. We haven't been a customer since Sept. It cost them .42 to send a first class mail invoice and it will cost us .42 to send first class check for a penny to pay this invoice. When will they ask They ask the US. Congress for their bail out. Freakin' idiots!

Fraud and crooks
My company put a bid out for 3 phone/internet companies to quote us on their services. Out of all of them, One Communications came in the lowest. We proceeded to sign the contract with One Communcations. We had alot of problems with them starting our phone service & internet services but thought that it would be worth it just to muddle through the problems. Unfortunately, I wish we would have terminated the contract and made them switch us back but, I didn't. We also had a point to point put into the mix for another one of our offices. This point to point goes down frequently, knocks off our users, have to restart servers, etc. It was very very frustrating. One day, when I came into the office, I noticed that the point to point was down again. I called for service and they couldn't find anything wrong. We have boxes in both of our locations, I believe they are called IAD's with network cards in them. When the lights on those cards show red lights, 10 out of 10 times there is a problem with the circuit. Our IAD's had red lights in both locations and they still insisted that they couldn't find any problem. If this happened to me, it could happen to you too.
Since we had so many issues I talked to one of their Chairman. They told me that there was nothing they could do about the problems for the point to point and that since they couldn't find any problem with the circuit, they wouldn't terminate the contract. I must have had alot of service related issues with this one point to point, so basically i was asking them to terminate the contract but they wouldn't. I asked their Chairman, "Is it common for any of your customers to have alot of service calls less than one year from installation?" Their response was, "I can't comment on that".
This is my experience with this company.
You decide if it is worth it.

Point to Point service
We have been a customer of One Communications for about a year now. We have had nothing but problems with our point to point. I wanted to have them terminate the contract but was unsuccessful. I have had over 50 times that my point to point went down. The last time it went down for 39 hours, the service department said that they couldn't find any problem with the point to point but; in the phone closet I had red lights on the comm board in both locations. We even had to send one of our offices home for the day because they couldn't find/fix the issue. I would never recommend One Communications for any service. Stay away from this company. I will be posting this all over the web because I am very disappointed with the services.
This was also sent up to the VP and they didn't do squat!
Do not use One Communications!

Amazing
Sent an invoice for a penny (0.01) and threaten to charge $9.95 billing and collection fee if I don't pay. We haven't been a customer for two months. It cost them .42 first class postage to send the invoice for a penny and will cost us .42 to send them a check for 0.01. Amazing!

TERRIBLE SERVICE
We cancelled our service the first week of March 2009 yet they continue to bill us and send us collection notices because "they still haven't finished cancelling everything on their side." The rep. said, "this not uncommon and that we do not owe the money that they are billing us for...according to her, it will all be worked out once they complete the cancellation process." WHY DOES IS TAKE OVER A MONTH FOR THEM TO COMPLETE A CANCELLATION?
They also charge a monthly fee that is a "billing and collection fee" that each account is charged so they "can recoup their billing fees" according to the rep. In addition to all of their other fees and taxes, they charge us an additional 10% so they can send us a bill? Ridiculous! Worst utility company EVER!

Will not resolve call routing issue
We have been having an ongoing long distance call routing issue for months now. One communications confirmed the issue, but has no solution for it.. They tested and confirmed this on this on their end. The tech slipped up and suggested that this is happening for ALL Legacy conversent customers.
The issue:
When we dial 1-978-397-xxxx Or 1-978-376-xxxx, we get the message "Please enter the 10 digit mailbox number"
When we dial 978-397-xxxx Or 1-978-376-xxxx, we get the message "This is not a working #"
One Com told us to dial 10-10-321 as work around. Now we're getting invoices from 10-10-321 as its a paid-for service. This is not a fix.. This is a blow-off response they passed off as the solution.
This amounts to a block of T-Mobile cell phone numbers that many One Com customers cannot reach. T-Mobile will not let a business who isn't a current customer open a trouble ticket.. Verizon is the same. One Com refused to help me open a trouble ticket with T-Mobile from a business to business stance which would have a louder voice and higher chance of resolution.
Our contract is up in a few months.. I'm counting down the days...
