After working diligently for four years and earning a college degree, i excepted my first professional job with one step ahead. While employed there i experienced personal and racial discrimination for more than twenty-four months. The reason given for discharge was that 'I was not a good fit' Hilarious i know. I would be lucky if co-workers said 'Hello' or 'Good Morning'.
The first year i traveled out of state with my managers and another employee who held the same position as myself. While we were suppose to be there on business instead the managers were much more concerned with how they could pimp their assistant to clients. Almost every client that we approached i was left to introduce myself while they had no problem introducing my co-worker. I was also left to find my own way back to the airport after i was left by the trio.
If there was an issue with an assignment or project they would always point the finger at me. This company thrives on negativity, it very sad seeing as how they stress teamwork. This company holds two separate holiday parties, one for the salaried employees which is held after work and a very nice venue (ex: cocktails, evening attire) sounds normal right ?
Next you have the holiday party for the non-salaried employees which is held during work hours in which the company is closed down for several hours and you are required to clock out! Can you say segregation! That's right its up to you to make up your hours however you can. I believe that this company hires minorities to keep their Census Report up under the law. They should post a sign stating that they DO discriminate against minorities, so apply at your own risk.
