On Jan. 15, 2011 I booked three flights for $296.80 ea. from Onetravel.com to Detroit Michigan to see my Mother and extended family members for a vacation. In my 39 1/2 yrs. of marriage my husband has never met all the people in my family. One of the reasons for the trip was to get my husband away for a while as he was diagnosed with ALS ( Lou Gehrig's disease) in Sept. of 2010.
April 12, 2011 my Mother had a heart attack, my husband and daughter wanted to give up their tickets to my sister and brother so they could travel with me to see our mother. So on April 13, 2011 I started researching to see if I could make name changes, mind you I paid extra in case any changes had to be made. I was told to call back on the 14th of April and it would only cost $50.00 for each name change. I called on the 14th to make the name change, the lady making the change said it was no problem and said she would be right back. When she returned she tells me it would be $900.00 plus the tickets I already purchased . That means I will be paying $1800.00 more to have two name changes. Now come on it only takes a push of the finger to make a name change, oh and I didn't even use your paper. Because of the circumstances my husband and I decide to get the tickets anyway. I tell the lady on the phone, don't make any changes other then the names as my sister to is handicapped.
CHECK IN:
Not seated together
No plus pkg.
Asked for wheelchair
Land in Denver, no wheelchair and my sister has to walk 3/4 of a mile to the next flight, that we almost missed.
This is just a small touch of what happened on this trip, I could go on and on. The flight home was worse! I feel onetravel.com and Frontier owes my husband and myself three round trip tickets to anywhere in the United States, and I would prefer them to be with another airlines.
Sincerely, Pamela Fries
