A lot of scammers/con artists/liars/fakes.
Too scary. Easy target for sexual predators. If someone gets pushy to meet right away--RUN. If a guy from Africa tells you how beautiful you are and by the third email wants to marry you...ha ha. Even the guys have to watch out for female scammers. Americans seem to be the biggest target for foreign scammers that either want citizenship or are out to get your money. Some are downright dangerous. Most sites take advantage of lonely people for the money. Some ppl are just looking for sex. That's their business and yours too if that's what you're looking for.
Be realistic. Suppose you meet someone online and you really do hit it off. Would you quit your job, pack up & move, and leave your friends and family behind? Or would you expect them to do it for you? Long-distance "relationships" could get your hopes up and be a big disappointment. ..and it's very risky.
The best way to find someone is through someone you know. It will more likely be someone local and the person that introduces you will know both of you. Just don't blame the "messenger" if it doesn't work !
There is one completely free site I know of called "DateHookup". I go there now only because they also have a "debate" forum, which is great fun. The "debates" can get wild sometimes!
Would like to know if anyone has had positive results from any site, or knows anyone that has. I don't know anyone personally that has gotten married or even formed a committment.

I signed up for the online dating, I paid for the service for one month, I could not get into my e-mail like they said. I followed the help line and still could not get in. I was told that it was computer(2008) dell laptop. At first everything is okay then when there is a problem they cant help you until your subscription runs out!!!
