After asking for a brochure to be sent, I now have monthly charges of US$49.95 coming through onto my card. Have just spoken to the bank and they have recommended the following:
1) lodge a dispute with your credit card company.
2) email the following address: [email protected] stating "I do not authorize any debits from the following card". Add your card number but not the expiry.
If the company does not respond or you are charged next month then the bank can step in. Their ability is limited based on whether we have (inadvertently) agreed to the subscription terms and conditions. If so, previous charges will not be refunded. If the company does not respond then your credit card company can step in and "take" the funds back.
FYI - each time you have a new charge appear you need to add this to the initial dispute. Sigh.
