OTA London sent out an email flyer advertising a course "Your Chance to Find Out How Trading A Hedge Fund Could Earn You a Living". It was initially held between 11am - 3pm, on Wednesday, 22nd December, 2010 at their offices at 10 Greycoat Place, Victoria, London, SW1P 1SB, United kingdom and was supposedly sponsored by ALEX SPIROGLOU, Investment Manager for Odin Capital Management and STEVE BEAUMONT, Professional Forex & Futures Trader and Online Trading Academy Instructor. My business partner & I attended. The presentation was OK but what really intrigued me was the offer of working with a real, high quality Hedge Fund manager, ALEX SPIROGLOU, plus the offer of 2 trainee Hedge Fund Manager posts, with ODIN, being available at the end of the course! At the time we were still re-financing our business, so couldn't really afford the £12K fee they quoted & were about to leave when Issam Romnani, the Managing Director
Online Trading Academy UK, offered us a deposit & part-payment option. We went away, sorted out bank loans & I later attended the first FOREX course in January 2011, which was basic & drawn out for the purposes but I decided to "endure", as the end potential justified the "suffering". During the second course, FUTURES, held in their St. Albans office this time, I was verbally attacked by Sam Evans, their appointed lecturer, for being too "inquisitive" about some of the trading techniques he employed as a "successful trader & fund manager" as he was promoted - this was later followed by more abuse from my class mates for complaining about the tutor's aggressive stance toward me. In the end I couldn't stand the atmosphere being generated around me, so I went to Issam & told him of my experiences & my wish to leave the course & illicit a refund. To this day, Issam & OTA London are still arguing that it was "all my fault" & refusing to refund any of the monies paid.
Once OTA have your cash, they DO NOT like to part with it!!
I will most likely have to resort to resolution through the UK courts.
