It seems that in checking the names above, someone has gone through a lot of research to acquire the information to make this look legitimate. There is some information here that does exist like Jez Davis is listed at the University of Winchester as Vice President (Activities & Services), SU, UC 304: 01962 827414.
Are these people involved in this scam?
Do they know their names/email addresses are being used?
Will I be able to prevent anymore of these scam emails from getting to my email account?
Please advise on how to prevent this for happening again..
