difficulty discontinuing merchandise delivery
Exceedingly difficult to terminate the delivery of their product. They just keep sending and charging my account, even though I have requested that they stop.

5 day trial
Onlingo is an optional purchase in a nearly impossible feat to win a free laptop. My daughter, thinking she was helping with Christmas shopping, subscribed to Onlingo. The trial is FIVE days. That's an impossible amount of time to get to know a product and return it, even had I wanted it. Then, our bank statement showed an additional charge of 94.50 and I have not even received merchandise. When I called to complain, they said that we had agreed to the terms and conditions and could not do anything about it. I don't even have the product that they have billed me for! They said the only way to cancel the charge is through the bank. They were unwilling to simply agree to reverse the charge and cancel the account. If they believed in their product, they would not have such restrictive limits on their "free" trial, and they would not bill without product in place and communication via e-mail verifying that there is in fact a customer who would like their product.

charged credit card without notice
Bought a trial lesson to learn spanish for $6.95 on Dec 22 through movie ticket promotion online. Received cd 1 week later. Did not open package. Was charged $79.95 Jan. 11. Called company and asked for refund of $79.95 on Jan. 12 Onlingo refused refund due to company policy of 14 day trial with no refund. i was never notified of the trial period policy.

Rip Off
Stupid me, I responded to one of the "free computer" ads, and of approx. 150 ads available, I selected On Lingo and another.
On Lingo sent me a disc of $4.95 plus $1.oo shipping. Imagine my surprise when my credit card should a billing of $84.75 from their company.

In calling to protest, it two weeks of calling to finally get through. They said they had already shipped other discs and I was basically SOL even though I said I was not interested, did not want the program and wanted my money back. It's not "their" problem who runs the adverstisement or that it's a rip off. I have sent this to the Better Business and my attorney and finally my " I should have known better" file.

I'm posting this is as a warning and suggest we all BOYCOTT on lingo products. Beleive it or not, I actually do know people all over the world.

Unfair practice
I ordered the CD for Spanish, was very surprised that it was only on Cd. It was not the product I expected. I called several numbers, 866-841-8740, 800-591-2457 and 1-800-949-6880.
I stated I wanted to return it, I was charged on 11/23/2009 for $1.00, then charged $5.95 on 11/23/2009 and then charged $79.95 on 12/07/2009.
The young lady stated I could get a partial refund of $55.00 because it was not within the 18 day trial period.
I checked the shipping information for USPS for the shipping number and advised her that it was not shipped until Nov 28 and the item was ordered on Nov 20. It was delivered on Dec 7th which is when I was charged the $79-95.
She stated it was their policy to charge after the 18 day trial period over and over again but again I stated that I had the USPS information right in front of me.
She then gave me a RMA # and the address to return the CD. Of course I will return the CD the same way they sent it, USPS with a tracking number.
The domain of www.onlingo.com (as per a domain search engine the registrant of the website to be Dan Ellis with phn # 1-800-949-6880 as the contact number (number the company can be reached with) with the address of Po Box 1699 Suisun Ca 94585. There is another address for the buiness of 333 Bryant St San Francisco Ca 94107 with D&B Business # 608661851 with industry code of 829905 for Reading & Speaking Schools.

I hope this helps other people who fall for this deal.
