Tried to avoid delivery
I did eventually get everything within 26 hours but read on! Ordered 20, 000 gold from these people and was immediately told about the 12-24 hour delivery during the phone call! No one answers the phone. When questioned on the chat, they said they were from Houston but became confused when asked what state that was. When I called them on that confusion, the chat person said his boss told him to lie and say he was from the US. After that chat they would never chat again. (They track IPs and the site activity changes depending on the IP).

As with everyone else, they had excuse after excuse about how they were working to get me my gold... blah, blah.

When I realized I got hooked in a scam I did the following;

1 - I informed them that failure to deliver in exactly 24 hours would result in a claim with Paypal. I added that I would not drop the claim to get the item. I would only drop the claim when I received the item. I started sending this reminder every hour as a count down.

2 - At the 24 hour mark I called Paypal to register the claim (I had no account with them). The claim was filed immediately.

3 - Within 30 minutes Oofay called to ask me to drop the claim so they could deliver. They were reminded that the claim would be dropped when the items were received.

4 - 30 minutes after that they asked me to get online to receive delivery. When we acknowledged we were getting online, they said I had to remove the claim to get delivery.. we (Wife and I) reminded them again that receipt of the item was required and they went away again. ("Oh, ok.." click).

5 - 15 minutes later while I was online they sent me a PM informing me they wanted to deliver part of the gold (9100). I said that would be fine but the claim wouldn't be dropped until ALL the gold was delivered. ("OH..." and they logged off).

GOOD ONE HERE!

6 - 5 minutes later they offered to trade 19, 000 and refund cash for the other 1000. I agreed although I suspected I might not see the refund. They opened trade with me, placed a food item called "Tough Jerky" in the trade and typed in the amount 19, 000 but wouldn't submit the trade to me. They told me I needed to remove the PayPal claim now. I reminded that I would have to receive the item to close the claim, GOT UP AND WALKED AWAY from them in the game.

7 - 1 minute later they sent an ingame PM stating that they trusted me, opened the trade and gave me 19100 gold. Once I canceled the claim, they gave me another 900 gold to make a total of 20, 000 gold. They had it the whole time!

They will play you until they get the PayPal email. Then they will try to make you close the Paypal claim without delivering anything because (for those who don't know) you cannot reopen a PayPal claim or create a second claim on the same transaction. Once you close it, thats it! Do NOT CLOSE THE CLAIM UNTIL YOU HAVE DELIVERY! no matter what!

We were stunned at the number of attempts they made to avoid delivery and the variety of methods they tried.

Anyway, I hope that helps someone.

Thieves, liars and scammers!
I am th husband of the person who placed the order this is my comment to paypal in dispute my claim and receive my funds. I ordered my goods from on march 16th 2008. I have called customer service several times and only been able to speak to anyone 4 times. I have left email and tried live caht only to not be responded to or to be left in the middle of a conversation. This company seems very suspicious. As they do not have an answering machine and bery few of the customer service reps speak good english. When i asked to speak to a manager i was told they were all busy and then while on hold disconnected. I have been very patient in waiting for my goods due to one individual who's name i did not catch reassuring me that my goods could be delivered. I have been waiting almost a month to receive my goods and now believe i have been scammed out of my money. My husband has tried contacting them as he is prior law enforcement and they never answer the phone. This company should be ashamed and a law suit should be filed to remove them from business. I have done my research over the last week and found numerous people who have also been scammed by oofay.com we are currently looking at legal options. at this time i have been patient enough. I have not been able to get a hold of customer service for over 1 week and no calls or emails contact has been returned. I want my money back and feel that it is deserved. If the money is not returned legal action will begin promptly. My order number is your website issues a statement about the quality of your company and the service u provide. I have found this statement completely false and when entering anything like oofay technologies ltd incorporated into a search nothing comes up. When searched the better business bureau nothing showed that company with that name existed. I will be making complains on all websites that promote oofay.com as this company is nothing more then a scam. I want restitution as soon as possible. In th U.S.A. it is illegal to scam people over the internet. A petition will be started. if u r e=interested in suing oofay .com contact my myspace at myspace.magicsonlywizard.com.

failure to up hold website promise
I've been waiting for almost a week for the 1000g that I have purchase from oofay.com. And all I get when I do livechat is "we are farming for you now, when the gold is ready we will call you." When you call the phone number on the website all you get is the phone ring over and over again or it hangs up.

How to get your money back from Oofay.com using paypal
I, as many others purchased gold from oofay.com in good belief that they would deliver what they promised.
They use this 5-10 minute delivery time, if they cant deliver withing 48 hours your expected to get a refund, right?

It's not like that, what happens is this:
1. You buy the gold
2. They call you up for phone verification
3. No gold is delivered

If your like many others, you have tried reaching them through live-help, and mail which is pointless since they never really answer unless your question is to buy something from them(which they really cant provide anyway).

After alot of frustration i basicly said to myself, as you've probably did as well: "no way am i gonna let some koreans steal my money, i gotta get it back!".

Ok, what you do is this:
1. Log in to your paypal account
Click on the "Resolution center" link, on the next page click on "Report a problem" -> "Item Dispute", fill in the transaction ID.

If you cant find it, use the Select transaction ID button to locate the recent transactions.
Click continue.

Next page: "Reason for opening dispute: I have not received anything from the seller."
Click continue.

"What is the category of your purchase: Virtual goods, delivered electronically".

"Compose Message to Seller: Tell the whole story here, in my case i had quite a story to tell on how many times i've tried to come in contact with them, how crappy their so called live-help actually is, and how this whole company seemed very suspicous, and i also pointed out that i had done some background checking after the 48 hours had passed, and discovered i was by far not alone at all in being scammed by this company.
When you are done telling your story, and the problem, which of course being you paying for something they did not deliver."

By opening a dispute you will get their attention, you will probably even receieve a phone-call from a hidden number, of them telling you to log in right now to receive the gold, and they will also tell you to close the dispute.

Do not close any disputes until the gold is delivered, or a refund has been given.

Here's what happened next:
"They never logged on. They told me to log in, and wait there for a little while, then i told them to just use the mailbox, however they insisted on meeting me face to face in-game (both weird and suspicious, no real business would want to waste an hour doing nothing, when they could use a mailbox, and have it done within a matter of seconds).

I kept pushing them to hurry up, and this is when we lost contact.

Beware, they will give you some bogus story of why they havent been able to deliver, and they will most likely insist on meeting your character in-game, this is good, because this you can use againts them, as i mentioned above: "no real business wastes an hour doing nothing, when it could be done in a matter of seconds".

You will receieve a notification in your mail (your regular mail), everytime they post a response, keep pushing them, always answer, really important as paypal is monitoring every word being written.

Its better to write alot than too little in your dispute, and never under any circumstances shall you close the dispute before you have what is rightfully yours.

I eventually wrote a semi-long ending story, telling from scratch was has happened since i first purchased gold from them online, pointing how the exact "where & when".

And also i ended the dispute with these words exactly:

"I have as of now, waited online for another hour, and still no contact has been made. I do believe this to be a scamming company, or not a company at all. I did a little background check, and i found out that several other people have also been scammed by Oofay.com. I lost contact with them one hour ago, and im sure that i wont get what i paid for, it all seems very suspicious, and by doing my background check i found out that i am not the only one to have been scammed by this "company".".

Seconds after completing this last dispute, i chose to escalate the dispute to a claim, where paypal reviews what has been written, and what has been the progress of this.

Of course, being the scamming company, Oofay.com as i expected, quickly refunded the money, as they didnt want anyone investigating, and putting an end to their business.

Note: " Be sure to check your email often after opening the dispute, and do everything they tell you to do, if not they could use it againts you".

I hope you get your money back, just as i did, dont just throw money at these scammers, stand up.

This puts an end to this "How to get your money back from Oofay.com using paypal".

Thieves!
This website promised a product, namely WOW Gold, to be delivered in a timely manner. After paying for my purchase not only did I never receive the purchase I never received a refund either. They don't pick up the phone for you at customer service unless your number matches that of a customer who is in the process of being scammed. Try to call the number and no one picks up or you get a noisy signal. Bottom line, these Koreans stole $50 from me. DO NOT USE THEIR WEBSITE.

Not able to deliver what they promised!
This company deals in Online virtual money for the major MMORPG's. They promise to deliver virtual gold, credits (game money) in exchange for real money. This promise is for a turnaround of 24 hours. They also boast of having over 10,000 clients and are powersellers with Ebay and are a "valuable client" of paypal. However, what they fail to do is either deliver the money, or provide warning that the your monies could be sitting in their accounts for over 10 days +.

There is no recourse with companies like this, as in actuality the game companies frown upon the exchange of virtual cash.
However Ebay and Paypal openly allow this exchange as it fuels revenue for them. For customers who are let down, paypal cannot protect you as the service/product is virtual. So in effect the company can actually take your real money and never deliver at all.

Be warned www.oofay.com is one of those companies, and what it amounts to is not virtual but very real theft.
