I came across this advertisement on line and was curious because I have been wanting an implant for a missing tooth. I filled out an on line form. Got called right away that I was selected as a candidate and to set up an appointment with a recommended cosmetic dentist. I was reminded twice by phone, once by e-mail, and once by postal mail. This did make me wonder but I continued. It was explained to me that my mouth had to be in good health to qualify and that this exam was at no cost to me. I spent over two hours being examined, X rayed, photoed etc. Turns out I did have two cavities to be fixed that they could do. I said it would be covered by my insurance if I went to my regular dentist. An implant was suggested where there was never a tooth, he told me that I had two teeth missing. I had only one tooth, the last molar pulled. Their estimate for their recommendations was for three implants and came to almost $10, 000, but they could finance interest free. Not until the very end of the discussion was it told to me how this "grant" works. You pay for the cosmetic dentistry up front and then your name will be submitted for a drawing with the hope that some day your name will be picked!
I never heard of a "grant" that required that you pay first with a hope of "winning" the funds. I believe this is an unscrupulous way of drawing in business from unsuspecting consumers as myself. This company is listed all over on the internet in relation to dentistry.
