Scam
I've been a customer of Orchard mastercard for yrs.now.never late, good rating.Said I would receive periodic increases accordingly.Never got such.called to inquire & was told I'd have to "Pay"for any increases given to me.I established this card after a bankruptcy to build it up.it's doing anything but.and Now...If I close it it's held against me.The advice I have is wait & get a REAL credit card through a legitimate co.if needed that bad.if it isn't I'd suggest you to pay cash!!!or do without.

Misleading info
I received an invitation to obtain a card from a "new bank in the neighborhood". It was supposedly about 10 miles away. It would have $1, 000 cap with 14% interest.
After I used it for a total of about $300, the limit suddenly dropped to $400, and the interest went to 29%. Calls resulted in someone saying that Orchard was a front for a bank in China. I cut it up and sent payment to the local address.
Three years later, I get calls from North Dakota and upstate New York area codes asking why I stopped paying last year and that my balance is now $10, 000.

Fraudulent accounts
I have never had an account with Orchard Bank, I now have been recieving harassing phone calls from CRA making threats to refer the account to the IRS if payment is not made, an account they say I opened 9 years ago.and shows up on my credit report, I recives monthly statement form a reputable company and have never seen this on my credit report. The collection agency was very rude and would not give me any info regarding the account, Hopefully people do not use this bank and keep their personal info gaurded carefully because if your SS# gets out there there is no telling who will use it and what for. I supposedly owe $ 1844 on a $300 card. what a crock of ***...

I could have used some of the others run-ins with Orchard Bank before I tangled with them. Right now I'm left high and dry by Orchard leavingh 1 (so far) angry creditor and my loss of some very good deals. Orchard Bank BLOCKED my cc with some lame excuse that I had 2 cards. Pardon me but even a 3yr could figure that one out and I can only wonder did Orchard have at least the use of 1 computer. They left me with egg on my face to my creditors only to guess when they'll answer some of my many questions. But to hear it fom some of the others I may have gotten lucky because I was one of the ones with nothing to steal from.

Email scam
I have gotten a lot of spam e-mail in my life, and I understand this is part of having e-mail. But it seems that Orchard Bank Credit Card has found a way to send e-mails from a ton of different servers, so no matter how many you "unsuscribe" from they just keep coming!!! I personally have "unsuscribed" approximately 5 times, and I just got two more today! It's driving me insane because I want to find the person to yell at but it's such a large company I don't even know where to start! Can I add that this is credit card spam and I am in the middle of a bankruptcy.

Poor way of doing business
Does Orchard bank or the scammers that are sending me credit card applications to my JUNK MAIL really think I am stupid enough to give my personal information to them? NOT!! I have repeatedly asked to have my name removed from their mailing list and they continue to send me phony applications. I am emailing everyone I know about this scam. I advise anyone who has an account with this bank to switch to a bank they can trust. I am going to report this scam to anyone who will listen to me about these emails, such a poor way of doing business.

I receive several emails daily from this company with different .com addresses. I have tried to block this company without success since they just change their .com address...

In these crazy economic times when we've given trillions to bail out banks and companies, I called Orchard Bank and asked them to reduce the outrageous 29.95% interest rate on my credit card. They politely told me to go take a hike. Do NOT sign up for a credit card with Orchard Bank, part of HSBC (Household Bank) if you do not plan on paying your bill in full each month. The interest payments will kill you. What is worse, if you go to their website and apply for a credit card, they have a banner that says to apply and to "receive low APR credit cards".

fees and interest
My complaint is that orchard bank made a misstake and i am paying for it The problem is that I made a payment and the the bank refused too pay orchards bank but after I got the problem fixed orchard bank refused too take off the late fee as well as the overthe limit fee . Now waht I have is a cccount which I payed below the limit keeps accuring fee which take it over the limit due too fees as well as beg payed the fee is killing me I have payed but thre other thing they will no let me change my due date nor drop fees . I have written letters for the past year and when the new card came I did not even activate it is this happeing to any one else.
