Please refer to the attached communication I received from “ORECK CORPORATION
CORPORATE CREDIT DEPARTMENT.”
RE: “We were unable to obtain the necessary credit card payment authorization from the information in our
system.”You may continue to use the credit card payment authorization from the information in your system. The credit card information in your system had an expiration date of 11/09. That card has been activated with a new expiration date of 11/11. The same credit card information in your system, along with a new expiration date of 11/11, may be used for valid credit card information in order to update your files and secure payment that is now due along with those that will become due. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. However, I take exception with your communication to me stating “remove the account from our delinquent files. Oreck Corporation reserves the right to make the entire unpaid balance due and payable on delinquent accounts and no longer eligible for the monthly installment plan.”
During the normal course of Corporate Business with established and agreed upon payment agreements, I would expect this should not be a circumstance that would be unknown to you. And I would not expect, as a result of this circumstance, that you would immediately communicate to preferred customers that their account is delinquent and has been placed in collection.
I expect complete resolution of this matter within the next business day following this communication. If for any reason that cannot be accomplished by Oreck Corporation Credit Department, I then feel I have a responsibility to communicate this incident to all current and future consumers of Oreck products through the consumer reviews and inquiries which encourage or require full disclosure and documentation from myself as a consumer.
