Orion showed up about 6 hours late. We anticipated a drive-through move, and my ride to Virginia was waiting, having taken off work to help me. Only after the load was completed was I advised that it was not a drive-through, but that it might take 10-14 days for delivery in Virginia. I was stuck.
Well, it has now been over 30 days. No pots and pans, no furniture, no clothes, and no apparent concern by Orion.
First they said they had 21 business days. However, they assured me the items had "been loaded from Dallas" and I would receive a call from the driver. No one told me my items were going into storage, much less 4 hours away. No call from the driver. Two more similar calls, lies again. Finally my dad called, and the owner, Mathew Brody (214-662-9650) assured me that it was loading not later than a Tuesday and he would "get the call" from the driver. Lies again!
I reported this as a theft to the local police department, as by now, Orion would not even return my phone calls. When the police talked to them, they raised a 30-business day time frame.
The verbal representations and lies are unacceptable. Orion also assured me that I would receive a packing and box # list in the email. That, of course, did not happen. Due to reports of missing items all over the web, I am very concerned about whether my items will all arrive.
I actually had 2 shipments, one to Florida and one to Virginia. Apparently in the loading process in Dallas (the part I did not know about -- I'm in the Houston area), some of my boxes got shipped to the ex in Florida.
When they arrived in Florida, they insisted upon payment before delivery. Further, they never provided the packing list for her to confirm the items shipped. And worse, they REQUIRED her to sign acceptance of delivery (boilerplate language of good and complete delivery) BEFORE they delivered anything.
I will post more if and when they make delivery.
