Initially contacted and paid OSF Tattoo/Mike Swartwood to do two tattoos for my husband. They were not complicated tattoos, just two names about 6 inches in length. We were told he would need to do them in stages for the ink to take hold. It took several sessions to "complete" tattoos (which are still spotty and we will be going to a reputable tattoo artist to have redone) and in those sessions he informed OSF Tattoo he would do an apprenticeship for my husband at a fraction of the cost ($500).
He was paid the $500 and we proceeded to purchase the needed supplies ($811) thru his company. Although we did receive some small supplies that I had paid for seperately from the initial $811 payment, we never received original order. We did pay for and received a tattoo starter kit.
First several calls to Mike Swartwood were met with promises of supplies being receive within days, after several complaints about items not received, received excuse after excuse from OSF Tattoo. Informed OSF Tattoo that due to the time length want a full refund for supplies AND Tattoo apprenticeship. We were told we would receive a certified check in 10 business days.
I called to "remind" OSF Tattoo that the 10 business days were almost up, we met with more excuses as to why we would not be getting the refund. Finally told by Mike Swartwood that a refund was sent via check. Never received refund and further attempts were met with “Check was sent”.
