It all started with my 1 month year old girl had a high fever. We call a doctor Robertson at Schusterman Center and he told us to go to St Francis which was 1 hour away. It was late at night so we went to St John Owasso. Did a urine, blood, and x-ray test and nothing was wrong said the doctor there. She thought about a forth test, lumbar puncture but saw no need for it. The next morning my lilo girl Keely was fine with normal temp. But the doctor call from Schusterman Center to update. He insisted we go to St Francis for a lumbar puncture, a spinal fluid test. There was risk in this test so we said no. He insist very much and kept bothering us. Then he said that he just wanted to see Keely and check her out. We saw no harm and went. Went he got there, Doctor Robertson said she was fine but there is still a risk and still he quickly change and try forcing us to take the test by using scare tactics. He brought supervisor to say the same thing. We refuse and then they brought a family care worker they say if we refuse medical advise they would have to call DHS child protective service. We finally agree and just right outside the door was a security guard to make sure we took the ambulance there. But we told them we had a car and plan on taking it. They pretty much force us to take the ambulance by saying we have to take it. We argue a bit but didn't win. At the St Francis hospital they gave us another option, 10 days with antibiotics and 10 days no matter what, they told us. But they still insist on the lumbar puncture since it was quit and easier but still there was a risk. Stressful and we decided on the 10 days and in just 3 days they told us we could go home.
To make matter stressful emsa for the ambulance ride, sent us a bill cause our Medicaid, sooner care, would not pay for it cause it was not a emergency situation. We filed a complaint and are still waiting from this crappy hospital to see if they are going to pay for this bill that they force us to take. If not we would have to sue.
Warning, this place is just a mal-practice for teaching their newly doctors. I try to look for Dr. Robertson and can't seem to find him on their web site. I wonder if he got fire and I really need help to get justice for the hospital letting him do this. Most of the doctors that came to help were young and had less then 8 years of experience. Dr. Robertson was a liar and trick us to come and than using scare tactics. If he was working for this hospital, I wonder if this hospital tech their doctors to be like this. SO BEWARE TAKING YOUR YOUNG ONES TO GET PRACTICE ON.
