On Thursday 2 Sep'10 at 05: 20 pm I visited the Out of the Blue
clothing store in the Clearwater Shopping Centre as I do at any other
retailer as Woolworths etc. I indicated that I was looking for
something for the office, for summer and not sure that the range is
fit me, but I will take clothes and mix and matche as I need clothes
for about 4 working days. I also indicated that I do get hot easy and
are very short.
After I been assisted by Catherine (manager of the shop) I mentioned
to her that I will fit the clothes at home because it is nearly
closing time for them. Upon paying I again stressed the fact that I
am not sure about the range but was told that I have got 7 days to
return the clothes. When I received my slip the ink was finished and
was told they will replace the ribbon the next day! The items etc not
visible.
After fitting at home I decided that it is going to be to hot and I
look terrible. On Friday 3 Sep '10 at + 14:11 pm I returned the
clothes and was told by the assistant that they do not do refunds I
need to take something else, but that is all that they got, the range
that I took etc. When I asked them to call their Head Office I was
told that they do not have an outside line and I had to use my own
phone. That I did, spoken to Althea immediately that recommended I
e-mail the owner Diane Armstrong, owner of Out of the Blue (021)
447-3002 mail: [email protected] or [email protected] that I did at 16:07 pm the same day.
By Tuesday 7 Sep '10 I still had no reply and I called their Head
Office again and was assisted by Carmen saying, “she not in, bla bla
bla. I mailed the same letter to her (Carmen) for assistance. When I
phoned back I was told that Diane said I had to read the slip and that
the clause no refund will show on it. They not refunding me!!!
So sorry for them, with no ink on the slip how must I read THAT
clause. Any right person in the right minds will NOT buy clothes if
they know that there is no refund. There is also no “notice board”
(indemnity) on the walls explaining that clause. And why must I take
the lost if the manger forgot to mentioned "No refund" - they just saw
the money coming in!!!
When I returned to the shop on Monday I was also told by 1 of the
assistance that I was not the first client that this has happened to.
Please help I’m desperate for justice. Nobody mentioned no cash
refund, no phones to phone out, no feedback from their owner????? What a service!!!
I just would like to return the clothes and have my money back!
