Rude Disrespectful Management and ran out of food
I have never experienced this type of treatment in my life and would like to warn others to please not go to this restaurant. Our party of six arrived at Ovation Restaurant in Ft. Worth on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at approximately 8:45 pm. We were seated immediately. I had been to the restaurant in the past but was surprised to see that the menu selection had completely changed. The waiter could not adequately explain the "new" concept of the menu selections which was annoying but we placed our order anyway. After waiting for an hour the waiter comes and tells us that the kitchen is out of potatoes, green beans and ribs. We were shocked that a restaurant would run out of these staples items and they were not extremely busy. We had to choose other side items from the limited menu which we did. We noticed that the band had taken a break and were seated next to us and observed they were being served before us and were being served all of the items we were advised they were out of. We advised the waiter that we would like to cancel our order. I asked the waiter to send over the manager but he never came. We received our bill and promptly paid. I went to speak with the manager and expressed to him my dissatisfaction. The manager said "I have taken it off of your bill, so you can just go". I was shocked and dismayed by his attitude. I walked away and joined my party at the door. I told my husband that the manager had been very disrespectful the manager approached us and confirmed that he did indeed say that to me and told the hostess to call the police. We left immediately without incident. It was very apparent that the manager was prejudice and very demeaning. In our party were two law enforcement officers, two ex-military and one military retiree, all professionals and ages range between 40 to 52 years old. We never received an apology for the inconvienience which is the way the manager should have handled the situation. Instead he treated us like we were inconvieniencing them by coming into the restaurant. We know a lot of people in DFW area and I will tell everyone I know NOT to go to the "new" Ovation restaurant. I believe most restaurants depend upon word of mouth advertising and the owners should be very concerned about bad press as well.

Service & Food Quality
This was by far the worst dining experience I have ever had. We had a group of 7 (4 moderately hungry kids, 3 adults) and ordered easy, simple food (grilled cheeses and cheeseburgers). The first time our meals arrived, 1.25 hours after we ordered, they had to be sent back because they were cold to the touch (and, btw, that was only 2 of the 3 adult meals). The kids meals arrived 15 minutes later, but were cold and incorrect, therefore having to be sent back. Our meals were finally delivered in 3 more shifts over a span of 20 minutes, and were clearly microwaved not prepared fresh. The food itself was horrible, again how difficult is it to make burgers and grilled cheese? When we were visited by "management" he stood with his hands in his pockets, shrugged and never apologized. DO NOT go to this restaurant and we will surely never patronize IPIC or any of the affiliated businesses again.
